Hey there, welcome back to another episode of "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I'm your host, Matthew Adams, bringing the wisdom of God's Word to your world, one verse at a time. Today, we're delving into 2 Corinthians 5:7, which says, "We live by believing and not by seeing." You might wonder, how does that apply to me? Well, let's unpack this together.
My Reasons To Believe is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
Point 1: The Human Tendency to Focus on the Negative
Have you ever noticed that if there's one thing going wrong, it seems to overshadow everything that's going right? Maybe you got a great grade in every subject but one, and all you can focus on is that one disappointing grade. This is a common human tendency - we're drawn to whatever needs fixing. When it comes to hearing from God, this tendency can create an unfortunate bias towards focusing on what we don't see or hear from Him, instead of recognizing the many times He has already spoken to us.
Point 2: Embrace the Journey of Unfolding Wisdom
God has a plan for each one of us, and He reveals it to us layer by layer. It's like peeling an onion, but instead of crying, we're growing in faith and understanding. However, if we're too fixated on what we think we're lacking, we might miss out on what God is currently saying to us. Remember, His timing is perfect. We shouldn't rush His process, but trust in it instead.
Point 3: Listen and Believe in God's Words
One of the keys to hearing God's voice is to believe and act on what we've already heard from Him. Instead of focusing on what He hasn't said yet, let's concentrate on what He has already told us. This will open our ears and hearts to discover more of His wisdom and guidance.
Conclusion:
So, there you have it, friends, our exploration of 2 Corinthians 5:7. This verse calls us to a life of faith, where we believe in what God says, even when we can't see it. It urges us to focus on His words, His promises, and His timing. It encourages us to be listeners, believers, and doers of His Word.
Call to Action:
This week, I want you to challenge yourself. Try shifting your focus from what's not yet revealed to what God has already said. When you do this, you'll find yourself opening up to the whisper of God's voice in your life. And remember, as we walk through this journey together, never hesitate to tune back into "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast" for more insights. Keep listening, keep believing, and keep living by faith. Until next time, stay blessed!
Let’s Pray…Lord, like faithful priests and prophets of old, I want none of your words to fall to the ground unheeded in my life. I commit to being diligent —not legalistic, but focused —about what You have already said.

Hello, folks! Welcome to another episode of "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". Today, we're diving into Matthew 4:3. The verse goes like this, "During that time the devil came and said to [Jesus], 'If you are the Son of God...'" Notice that this happens right after Jesus is declared God's beloved Son, and now, we find Him in the wilderness being tempted by Satan. This story isn't just about the three temptations we all know, but there's an even more subtle one: Satan questioning Jesus' identity.

Point 1: The Devil's Strategy
Let's unpack this. The devil has a sneaky strategy. He likes to undermine our identity in Christ and question what God has told us. It's like he's daring us to actually believe what God says about us. He did it with Jesus, and he's going to try it with us too.
Point 2: The Wilderness of Contradiction
Whenever we learn a great spiritual truth, we're often thrown into what I like to call the 'wilderness of contradiction'. It's a place where everything seems to scream how untrue God's promises are. For example, if you've learned that you're seated with Christ in heavenly realms, circumstances might try to convince you that you're just stuck here on earth.
Point 3: The Response of Faith
The key to surviving the wilderness of contradiction is to respond like Jesus did: hold tightly onto what God has said. His voice is the truth. And even though it may not seem like it, your faith will eventually prove it.
Conclusion:
So, friends, that's our deep dive into Matthew 4:3. The devil will try to make you question your identity and God's truth, but don't let him. Stand firm in who you are in Christ and what God has promised you. Remember, in the midst of the battle, never let go of that.
Call to Action:
This week, I challenge you to stand firm in your identity as a child of God. Whenever doubts creep in, go back to His word, remind yourself of His promises, and hold on tight. And, as always, tune into the next episode of "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast" as we continue to explore God's voice in our lives. Until then, keep listening, and keep holding onto His truth!
Let’s Pray…Lord, the temptations are fierce. I know what You said, but I see so many contradictions. Give me the strength and the tenacity to hold on. I am who You say I am, and You will do what You said You will do.

Hey there, Warriors! Welcome back to another episode of "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". Today, we're going to chew on a bit of wisdom tucked away in Proverbs 15:22: "Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success." Now, it may seem like this is just practical advice for life - and it is - but it's also so much more. It's about how God communicates with us, even in this busy, noisy world. Let me explain.
My Reasons To Believe is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
Point 1: God in the Flesh
The Bible tells us that Jesus was God in the flesh. He walked and talked among people, just like you and me. But before He died, Jesus told His disciples something pretty mind-boggling. He said it was good for Him to go. Why? So that His Spirit could come live inside of us. That means you and me and every person who follows Jesus, we become His voice in the world.
Point 2: The Importance of Advisers
So, why does the Bible say that there's success in many advisers? Well, in King Solomon's time, this was sage advice for making wise decisions. But for us, living after the Holy Spirit has come, this advice is supercharged! The people around us aren't just people with good advice. They can actually speak words inspired by God's Spirit!
Point 3: Listening to Wisdom
Now, this is where it gets really exciting. When we listen to fellow believers, God's voice might just be in the mix. You'll need to practice discernment, to sift through the chatter and hear the nuggets of divine wisdom. But if you're listening, I promise you, God is speaking.
Conclusion:
So, that's the gold hidden in Proverbs 15:22. It's not just about having a bunch of advisers. It's about recognizing God’s voice speaking through the wisdom of those around us. It's about learning to listen, not just with our ears, but with our hearts.
Call to Action:
Here's what I want you to do. Find some people who love Jesus and love you. Listen to their advice. Pray about it. See if you can hear God's voice whispering in their wisdom. And, as always, keep your hearts open to "The Power Of God's Whisper". Join us for our next episode as we continue this incredible journey through God's Word. Until next time, keep listening!
Let’s Pray…Spirit of God, speak to me through Your people. Let Your voice ring true when they speak Your words. I cannot travel this journey alone. Fill Your people with truth.

My Dearest Child,
As your Creator, I want to make it clear what I desire from you. You might wonder about ways to show your devotion to Me, often imagining it as long hours of prayer, constant worship, deep involvement in spiritual ministries, extensive scripture study, and sacrifices. While these practices can be beautiful expressions of your faith when done with a pure heart, they are not the only ways to connect with Me.
Thank you for reading My Reasons To Believe. This post is public so feel free to share it.
You see, I look beyond the outward acts and see the heart behind them. What truly moves My heart is not just your religious practices, but your compassion, kindness, and love for others. In Isaiah 58:6, I expressed the kind of "fasting" that I desire: "Free those who are wrongly imprisoned; lighten the burden of those who work for you. Let the oppressed go free, and remove the chains that bind people."
I am moved by those who seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly before Me. My heart is drawn to the downtrodden, the oppressed, the ones who have been bruised by the world. I despise the impact of sin, not only on the individual soul but also on the society that it corrupts. And I take delight in those who long for My purposes and power to flow through them to bring healing and restoration to this broken world.
As you seek to hear My voice, expect to hear about these things. Expect to be given assignments that might not bring worldly recognition but will touch the lives of those around you in profound ways. I want you not just to hear My voice, but to become My voice in situations that need justice, love, and compassion.
Remember, the greatest commandment is to love Me with all your heart, soul, and mind, and the second is like it: to love your neighbor as yourself. In doing these things, you are truly showing your devotion to Me.
With all my love,
Your Heavenly Father

Welcome back to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". Today, we're diving into a powerful verse, 2 Corinthians 5:20: "God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, 'Come back to God!'". It's a call to action for each of us, to step into our unique role as God's messengers.
Thank you for reading My Reasons To Believe. This post is public so feel free to share it.
Point 1: The Infinite Expressions of God's Nature
Let's start by asking: why does God need us to be His mouthpieces? Well, God is infinite, and to truly show every facet of His nature, He needs an infinite number of stories. That's why He created billions of us, each bearing His image, each with the potential to represent something unique about Him. Our lives, our stories, become reflections of His diverse nature.
Point 2: Embodying the Message of Christ
When we speak for Christ, we're not just delivering His message; we're embodying it. We are living testimonies of what Christ can do, showing His ability to heal, redeem, restore, call, and equip. Each of us becomes a testament of His provision, comfort, guidance, and promises. We're walking testimonies, carrying His voice to every corner of the world.
Point 3: Expressing God's Voice
You might think that this sounds ambitious or presumptuous, but it's simply the truth. God has promised that His glory will cover the earth, and that's largely going to happen through us. We don't just receive God's voice; we're called to express it. Whether it's through prophetic voices, testimonies, or written records, God's words are made manifest through us.
Conclusion:
2 Corinthians 5:20 calls us to a sacred role. We're not just listeners of God's voice; we're His mouthpieces, tasked with spreading His glory throughout the world. We're asked to embody His message, to become living testimonies of His power and love.
Call to Action:
So here's my challenge to you: embrace your role as God's mouthpiece. Speak for Christ, embody His message, and spread His glory. And remember, you're not alone in this. We're all part of this journey, all part of this mission to cover the earth with God's glory. Let’s Pray…Lord, my story doesn’t seem very dramatic or impressive. Yet I know Your hand has been deeply involved in writing it. Therefore, it reveals something about You. May I never be guilty of hiding or minimizing Your glory in my story. I share You well by sharing who I am.

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. . . . If you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. LUKE 11:9, 13
Welcome back to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". Today, we're going to unpack a powerful message from Luke 11:9, 13. "Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you... If you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him." This passage presents an inspiring story about the transformative power of persistent prayer.
Thank you for reading My Reasons To Believe. This post is public so feel free to share it.
Point 1: Persistent Prayer Leads to Divine Encounters
First, let's consider the story of Dwight Moody. Moody knew his preaching lacked the power of God. So, he cried out to God for His Spirit. This persistent prayer led to a powerful encounter with God that totally transformed his ministry. Just like Moody, we too can have powerful encounters with God if we keep asking, seeking, and knocking.
Point 2: The Power of God’s Love
God didn't give Moody new sermons or messages, but He gave him an overwhelming sense of His love. That love became the driving force behind Moody's preaching. This shows us that the power of God's love can transform our lives and the lives of those around us.
Point 3: The Results of Honoring the Holy Spirit
Moody chose to honor the Holy Spirit above all else in his ministry. This led to amazing results, including hundreds of conversions and financial breakthroughs. This teaches us that when we prioritize God's Spirit in our lives, we open the door to life-changing experiences and results.
Conclusion:
Luke 11:9, 13 teaches us that persistent prayer leads to divine encounters and life-changing experiences. It shows us that the power of God's love can transform our lives and the lives of those around us. And, it teaches us that prioritizing God's Spirit can lead to incredible results.
Call to Action:
Now, I want to challenge you. Start praying persistently, just like Moody did. Keep asking, seeking, and knocking. And remember, if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. Let’s Pray…Holy Spirit, I desperately need You —Your touch, Your voice, Your power. Fill me. I yield everything to You in exchange for Your life in me. Flow freely to me, in me, and through me.

Welcome back to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I'm excited to dive into a powerful story today about a man named Gideon. In Judges 6:12, the angel of the LORD appeared to him and said, “Mighty hero, the LORD is with you!” You may think Gideon was already a mighty hero, but not quite. Let's explore this together.
Thank you for reading My Reasons To Believe. This post is public so feel free to share it.
Point 1: God's Perception Versus Reality
Gideon was far from being a mighty hero. He was actually hiding from the Midianite marauders. But God's voice doesn't echo our self-doubts or the accusations of others. He sees us from an eternal perspective. He sees the potential in us, the end from the beginning. God called Gideon a mighty hero because He knew what Gideon would become.
Point 2: Hearing God's Voice Brings Out the Best in Us
God's voice has transformative power. He called out to Gideon, not as the man he was in that moment, but as the man he would become. And that's how God speaks to us as well. He sees the best in us, even when we can't see it ourselves. He calls us according to the divine potential He has placed within us.
Point 3: Embracing God's Assessment of Us
It might be hard to accept the identity God gives us. You may not feel like a mighty warrior, a person of great faith, or whatever else He calls you. But, God's view of us is not based on our current circumstances but on our future possibilities. When God calls you something, even if it seems unlikely, trust His words. He calls us out of hiding and into our destiny.
Conclusion:
Gideon's story is a powerful reminder that God sees beyond our present struggles. He sees the potential in us, the end from the beginning. He speaks to the mighty hero within us, calling us out of hiding and into the glorious destiny He has planned for us.
Call to Action:
Are you ready to hear God's voice and step into the destiny He has for you? Start by spending time with Him, in prayer and in His word. Listen for His voice. He might call you something you don't feel like right now, but trust His words. Embrace the identity He has for you. And remember, God is always with you, just as He was with Gideon. Don't forget to subscribe to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast" for more inspiration and insights. See you next time!

Welcome, folks, to another episode of "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". Today, we're exploring Psalm 37:4, an incredible verse that reveals God's heart for us and our desires. "Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires." As we unpack this, let's talk about the role of desires in our lives and how aligning those with God's purposes can change everything.
Thank you for reading My Reasons To Believe. This post is public so feel free to share it.
Point 1: Understanding Our Desires
Our lives are often driven by our desires, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. God created us with desires. The goal of our faith isn't to eliminate them, but rather to align them with God's will. When we pursue God, our hearts' desires start to reflect His purposes for our lives.
Point 2: The Connection between Delight and Desire
This verse holds a promise: when we delight ourselves in God, there's an alignment between our hearts' desires and the outcomes of our lives. The gap between what we want and what we get begins to close. God isn't just the giver of our needs; He cares about our desires too.
Point 3: Discerning Godly Desires
Not every desire comes from God. We might have passions that are misplaced or misinterpreted. However, desires that are consistent with God's word, that persist over time, are likely rooted in a godly impulse. God speaks through our dreams and desires, leading us toward His purpose for our lives.
Conclusion:
Psalm 37:4 offers a beautiful insight into how God values our desires when they align with His will. When we take delight in Him, He aligns our desires with His purposes, and we start to see His hand at work, transforming our dreams into reality.
Call to Action:
Ready to align your desires with God's will? Start by delighting in Him. Spend time in His word, pray, and seek His guidance. Pay attention to your dreams and desires, and ask God for wisdom to discern which are from Him. Remember…God, delights in you and your desires! Don't forget to subscribe to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast" for more insights as we journey together, tuning our hearts to the whispers of God.
Let’s Pray…Lord, You are the fulfiller of my heart, not the denier of it. Shape my heart to desire Your will. Put Your dreams within me. Speak through the longings that excite me most.

Hey there, warriors! Welcome back to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". Today, we're cracking open Matthew 7:16, a powerful scripture where Jesus reminds us that we can identify false prophets by their fruit. So, how does this apply to discerning God's voice from others? Let's dive in, decipher this together, and equip ourselves with discernment that'll strengthen our spiritual journey.
Thank you for reading My Reasons To Believe. This post is public so feel free to share it.
Point 1: Recognizing the Voices
In our lives, we encounter a multitude of voices - our own thoughts, external influences, the enemy's deceptions, and yes, God's voice. The challenge is distinguishing God's whispers amidst this noise. Jesus provides a key: watch the fruit. If a voice leads you towards sin or away from God, it's not His.
Point 2: Evaluating the Fruit
When we're struggling with discernment, especially in morally ambiguous or complex situations, look at the fruit. True, godly counsel aligns with the fruit of the Kingdom: peace, goodness, and joy in the Holy Spirit, and the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. It directs our minds toward what's true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable.
Point 3: Discerning Bad Fruit
False voices, even if they seem scriptural, yield bad fruit: fear, guilt, doubt, anxiety, and exasperation. These voices do not align with the Kingdom of God and should be rejected. Learning to recognize these signs can help us discern the true voice of God and maintain our spiritual peace.
Conclusion:
Discerning God's voice among the many who clamor for our attention is a vital skill in our spiritual journey. Using Jesus' wisdom in Matthew 7:16, we can evaluate the 'fruit' each voice produces, leading us closer to God's whispers and away from deception.
Call to Action:
Are you ready to hone your discernment? Start by praying for wisdom and understanding. Engage with God's Word, understand the fruits of the Spirit, and learn to identify the bad fruits. Share your discernment journey with others, and remember, you're not alone in this! Be sure to subscribe to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast" for more insights and guidance on your spiritual journey. Together, let's deepen our discernment and tune in more clearly to the voice of God.
Let’s Pray…Lord, help me recognize Your words by the environment they create within me. You may speak convicting, sobering words, but I know You will never oppress me with guilt, shame, fear, anxiety, or depression. Fill me with joy and peace, lift me up and inspire me, and give me rest with the sound of Your voice.

Welcome, everybody, to another episode of "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". Today, we're diving into 1 Samuel 3:3-4, the incredible story of God calling out to Samuel in the middle of the night. We'll explore how God's voice can awaken us, just like it did Samuel, and the significant impact this can have on our lives. So, buckle up, open your hearts and minds, and let's journey into this powerful encounter.
Thank you for reading My Reasons To Believe. This post is public so feel free to share it.
Point 1: Recognizing God's Voice
Just like Samuel, we may not immediately recognize God's voice when He speaks. However, with discernment and guidance, as Eli provided Samuel, we can learn to distinguish God's whisper amidst the noise of the world. This understanding is crucial in our spiritual journey, enabling us to respond to His calls effectively.
Point 2: The Transformative Power of God's Voice
God's voice isn't just a mere whisper, it's a transformative force. When we truly listen and respond, it can change the course of our lives and even history itself. It's a powerful call to adventure that awakens us from spiritual slumber and propels us into a deeper relationship with Him.
Point 3: Coming Alive in God's Presence
Despite being near the Ark, a symbol of God's presence, Samuel was asleep. Many of us are in a similar state, existing in God's presence but not fully awake to it. When God's voice calls out to us, it's a startling wake-up call, pushing us from passive observation to active engagement in our spiritual journey.
Conclusion:
The story of Samuel teaches us to recognize and respond to God's voice. It invites us to awaken from our spiritual sleep and actively engage with God. By doing so, we can experience a life-changing adventure that not only transforms us but also the world around us.
Call to Action:
Are you ready to awaken to the sound of God's voice? Start by spending time in prayer and reading His Word, asking for discernment to recognize His voice. Don't be afraid to respond when He calls, and embrace the adventure He has in store for you. Share your experiences with others, encouraging them to do the same. And don't forget to subscribe to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast" for more insights and encouragement on your spiritual journey. Let's awaken to the transformative power of God's voice together!
Let’s Pray…Speak, Lord. I’m listening. I want to hear whatever You have to say. Call me out of my slumber. Use me as a world changer. Make my heart come alive by the power of Your words.
