  • TOV 25-109 Learning to Lead Like a Man

Leadership isn’t about a title or having all the answers—it’s about being someone worth following. And in today’s world, we don’t need more loud voices; we need more steady examples. Men of God, it’s time to stop waiting for permission to lead and start stepping into the responsibility that’s already ours.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is:"Set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." —1 Timothy 4:12 (ESV)

Paul wrote this to a young Timothy—not to tell him to wait until he was older, but to lead now by example. Being a godly man is not about perfection, it’s about being consistent—consistent in speech that builds others up, consistent in conduct that reflects Christ, consistent in love that sacrifices, consistent in faith that stands firm, and consistent in purity that honors God.

When you walk into a room, your presence should bring peace, not confusion. When your kids look at you, they should see what integrity looks like. When your wife hears your words, they should bring security. That’s leadership.

You don’t need a platform or a pulpit—you just need to be faithful in your home, in your work, in your community. Lead by example, not by force. Influence isn’t demanded; it’s earned through a life of obedience and discipline.

Question of the Day:Where in your life do you need to raise the standard and lead more intentionally?

Let’s Pray:Lord, make me a man who leads with Your strength and grace. Help me to be the kind of example that reflects Your heart—in what I say, how I live, and how I love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • 25-109 Love is Tenacious

Love isn’t always candlelit dinners and whispered promises. Sometimes, it’s holding hands in silence when words fail. Sometimes, it’s choosing forgiveness even when your heart is still hurting. Real love isn’t fragile—it’s forged in the fire of trials. Today, we’re talking about a tenacious kind of love—the kind that doesn’t run at the first sign of trouble but digs in, fights for connection, and chooses to stay.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is:"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." — 1 Corinthians 13:7 (ESV)

This verse isn’t poetic fluff—it’s a challenge. It describes a love that endures. That means it’s built to last through disagreements, through misunderstandings, through seasons where love feels more like a decision than a feeling. Love that endures is not passive—it’s active. It chooses to stay, to fight for the relationship, to work things out even when it's uncomfortable.

The tenacity of love shows up in the hard moments. When you’ve had the same argument for the hundredth time, when life gets heavy, when finances strain, when illness shows up…tenacious love keeps showing up. It’s not about never feeling like giving up—it’s about never actually doing it.

God’s love for us is the ultimate example. He doesn’t walk away when we fall short. He pursues. He stays. And He calls us to love one another with that same kind of relentless, unshakable love. Not just when it’s easy, but especially when it’s hard.

Question of the Day:Where in your life is God calling you to show tenacious love today, even if it’s tough?

Let’s Pray:Lord, help me love with endurance. Strengthen me to persevere through the difficult moments. Let my love reflect Yours—steadfast, patient, and true. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    From Peter

To those who follow the Risen Lord,

I wish I could tell you I stood tall that night. That I defended Him. That I stayed faithful.

    But I didn’t.

I’m Peter—the one who walked on water, who declared Jesus the Messiah, who swore I would never leave His side. But when the night turned cold and the darkness pressed in, I folded.

We had shared the Passover just hours before. He broke bread. He gave the cup. He told us this was His body, His blood. He told us someone would betray Him. I swore it wouldn’t be me. And when He looked me in the eye and said, “Peter, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times,” I laughed inside. That could never happen.

  • TOV 25-108 From Me-Centered to Mission-Minded

Life has a way of pulling us inward—toward our own goals, our own comfort, our own recognition. But God calls us to something far greater. Today’s message is about stepping beyond the mirror and stepping into the mission. This isn’t just about being a good guy—it’s about becoming a man who reflects the character of Christ.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is:"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves." — Philippians 2:3-4 (ESV)

When a man is stuck in a me-centered mindset, everything becomes about what he can get—respect, success, validation. But Paul flips the script. He challenges us to trade ambition for humility, vanity for service. This is the shift from boyhood to manhood. Boys chase attention. Men chase impact.

Jesus gave us the ultimate example. He had every right to demand worship, but instead, He knelt and washed feet. That’s not weakness—that’s strength under control. When you step into humility, you don’t lose power—you gain purpose.

A mission-minded man wakes up thinking, “How can I bless others today? How can I serve my family, my church, my community?” It’s not about being noticed—it’s about being effective.

This isn’t just about doing more—it’s about becoming more. A man on mission doesn’t need applause. He needs obedience. And when he lives like that, everything changes—his marriage, his influence, his legacy.

Question of the Day:Are you living to be impressive—or impactful?

Let’s Pray:Lord, strip me of selfish ambition. Teach me to walk in humility and live for a mission greater than myself. Let my life reflect Your love, Your service, and Your purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • 25-108 Love is Honest: Building Trust with Truth

When was the last time you had a truly honest conversation with your spouse—one that didn’t just scratch the surface but went deep into the heart? Honesty is more than not lying. It's about being open, real, and transparent, even when it’s uncomfortable. In today’s episode, we’re talking about how truth and transparency are essential ingredients for love that lasts.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is:“Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.” —1 Corinthians 13:6 (ESV)

This scripture reveals that genuine love doesn’t turn a blind eye or hide behind polite silence. It celebrates what is right. It leans into the hard truth, not to hurt, but to heal. In marriage, honesty isn’t a weapon—it’s a bridge. It invites intimacy, builds trust, and makes room for real connection.

When we choose to be honest, we give our spouse the gift of knowing us—flaws and all. It means admitting mistakes, expressing real feelings, and listening with grace when our partner does the same. God’s love for us is never fake, never hidden. It’s open and raw and redemptive. Shouldn’t our love reflect that, too?

Question of the Day:Is there an area in your marriage where more honesty could lead to deeper connection?

Let’s Pray:Lord, help us to love with truth. Teach us to speak with honesty, listen with humility, and build trust with transparency. May our marriages be places where truth thrives and love grows stronger. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

To my brothers and sisters who walk the Way,

I am Philip. You may remember me from the first days—when I told Nathanael, “We have found the one Moses wrote about.” I was always the one with questions, often trying to make sense of what Jesus meant when He spoke of things beyond this world. But nothing prepared me for the words He gave us that night—His final night before the cross.

It was Passover. A night of remembering deliverance, of celebrating how God brought our people out of Egypt. But this night would become something deeper—infinitely deeper. It was the night He revealed the heart of the kingdom to us, not with a sword in His hand, but with a towel around His waist.

  • TOV 25-107 Discipline Over Impulse: How Men Make Decisions

Every man faces moments where emotions beg to take the lead—anger flares, temptation whispers, pride swells. But a real man doesn’t let his feelings drive the bus. Discipline is the firewall. Without it, we’re like a breached city, open to destruction.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is:"Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control." — Proverbs 25:28 (ESV)

A city without walls is vulnerable to every passing enemy. Likewise, a man without self-control is vulnerable to every passing urge. This world celebrates acting on impulse, following your heart, doing what feels good. But God calls men to be different—to be fortified by discipline, not dismantled by desire.

Impulse is easy. Discipline takes grit. When you get cut off in traffic, impulse wants to honk and yell. When lust creeps in, impulse wants to indulge. When stress hits, impulse looks for escape. But discipline... it pulls back, prays, pauses, and listens for God’s voice.

Jesus was the picture of restraint. In the wilderness, He could’ve turned stones into bread. On the cross, He could’ve called down angels. But He didn’t. Why? Because He was led by purpose, not impulse. And that’s our model.

Brothers, self-control isn’t weakness—it’s warrior strength. It’s the difference between reacting like a boy and responding like a man. Every decision we make shapes who we become. Will you be ruled by emotions—or will you rule over them through the Spirit?

Question of the Day:What area of your life needs a stronger wall of self-control today?

Let’s Pray:Lord, build the walls around my life with the strength of Your Spirit. When emotions flare and temptation strikes, help me choose Your way over my own. I want to be a man of discipline. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • 25-107 Love Like You Mean It: Generosity and Virtue in Marriage

Marriage is more than a partnership; it’s a covenant. And love—real love—is more than a feeling. It’s a series of intentional choices rooted in God’s Word. Today, we’re diving into two powerful aspects of love found in 1 Corinthians 13—generosity and virtue—and how they can transform your marriage from surviving to thriving.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is:"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way..." —1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (ESV)

Genuine love is generous. It gives without tallying, without strings, and without waiting for something in return. In marriage, this means showing up with your time, your energy, your affection—even when it’s inconvenient. It means choosing to pour yourself out for your spouse the way Christ poured Himself out for the Church. Generosity in marriage isn’t just financial—it’s the quiet cup of coffee made before sunrise, the gentle touch when stress is high, the patient ear when words are messy. Generosity says, “I’m all in, even when it costs me something.”

And love is virtuous. It carries a moral backbone that holds everything together. Virtue in marriage means being honest, being faithful, and choosing integrity in the little things. It means honoring your vows when it’s hard and being the same person behind closed doors as you are in public. A virtuous love builds trust, fosters safety, and nurtures deep connection.

When generosity and virtue take root in your marriage, love becomes more than a word. It becomes a lifestyle—a testimony of God’s faithfulness.

Question of the Day:What’s one way you can show generous or virtuous love to your spouse today?

Let’s Pray:Lord, teach us to love with open hands and upright hearts. Help us to reflect Your generosity and Your virtue in our marriages. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
