In this episode I have the privilege to interview my cousin, Angel Booker - better known as Angel Bee. Angel is the founder of The Healthy & Healed Lifestyle Exchange and CEO of Angel Care, a traveling childcare service. While Angel carries many roles in her community, church, and serves as a mentor for many,  she is also a survivor of sexual assault. Through her journey of confronting pain and embracing victory, Angel created Healthy & Healed as a platform for people to build courage in prioritizing themselves. In doing so, people communicate, receive, and apply healing principles to overcome and normalize talking through past and current trauma instead of simply living with it.

In this episode, United States Army veteran Jasmine Nathan-Jones shares her story of courage and resilience after being diagnosed with myasthenia gravis (MG), a chronic neuromuscular autoimmune disease. In the years since living with MG, Jasmine has undergone various medical procedures, experienced physical changes, and has regular treatments to manage her symptoms. Nevertheless, despite the emotional and mental stress MG can bring, Jasmine explains the power of having a loving support system, and she gives practical ways that you can remain hopeful in challenging situations.

Nicole Santiago, M. Ed. is a wife, mother, former Spanish teacher, and so much more. Furthermore, she lives with ADHD, or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and she is also the parent of a child with the condition. Instead of using ADHD as a crutch, Nicole has transformed it into her superpower, and she left the classroom in order to become an educational therapist, IEP coach, and advocate who  fights for children's educational and wellness needs.

In this episode, Nicole talks about her ADHD journey and provides tips as to what parents can do to help their children at home and in school so that they can have resources for lifelong success. She also gives holistic natural remedies that can help both children and adults diagnosed with ADHD manage their symptoms and empower them to embrace their uniqueness.
