On the show this week, my guest is Carina McEvoy.
Carina trained as a hypnotherapist in 2008 and at the time was a secondary school teacher. Seeing first hand the mental health issues among the youth, she decided to leave teaching after having her own children and set up a practice aimed purely at kids and teens and their parents. Although, she left teaching she sees her role very much on the coaching element of therapy. Informing her clients of their own potential that lies within their own minds. She set up the Emotional Therapy Centre in 2018 to provide guidance to kids, teens and parents in a bid to help individuals unlock their own potential in dealing with overwhelming emotions, negative thoughts and unwanted behaviours.
As well as seeing clients in her busy practice in Wexford, she also works with schools and parent groups to help manage child anxiety. In 2018 she wrote and published ‘sometimes I worry … how about you?’ and it’s sister book ‘Sometimes my child worries … what do I do? Carina believes that we all have the power within us to master anything!

Gerry's favourite issues to deal with are fears and phobias as he loves seeing people stepping outside their comfort zones and doing things they want to do, just like he has done many times and has even overcome his fear of being the centre of attention, which he now loves!
