The Praying Professional 's Podcast

Every day brings decisions: some small, others potentially life changing. Before relying solely on our own experience, knowledge, understanding or on the counsel of others, God invites us to seek His wisdom.

In this episode, we reflect on James 1:5 and consider what it means to bring our professional decisions before God in prayer, trusting Him to shape our hearts and guide us with His wisdom.

This Week’s Practice: Pause. Pray. Then proceed.
Reflection Question: What decision am I trying to make on my own instead of first bringing it before God?

Pray. Work. Thrive in Jesus’ Name.

How do we discern God's direction for our lives and careers? Often, we look for answers to the big decisions while overlooking the simple acts of obedience God has already called us to.

In this episode, we reflect on 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 and discover that God's will begins with rejoicing always, praying continually, and giving thanks in all circumstances. Together, we explore how faithful obedience in the everyday moments of our work can deepen our relationship with Christ and shape the way we live and serve.

Today's Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

This Week's Practice: Before each meeting, email, phone call, or conversation, pause and pray: "Lord, help me honor You in this moment."

Reflection Question: What has God already asked me to do that I need to obey today?
