We’ll define what a cult actually is, centered on coercive control, isolation, manipulation, and loyalty enforced through fear, not on any one faith or identity. Then we follow the uncomfortable trail of why powerful people gravitate toward these closed systems, from the search for meaning and exclusive knowledge to escalation into darker appetites and group protection. I’m also addressing the push to dismiss everything in the Epstein files as jokes or fake, and why that explanation functions like a sedative that keeps the public in disbelief. Using Lloyd deMause’s research and case material, we confront how cult abuse is described by victims and clinicians, what the ritual logic claims to be, and what it says about the scale beneath the surface, with a clear warning that this content is disturbing.
