Much like our beloved Northampton Town, Shrewsbury Town were predicted to struggle by the pundits this season. And after sacking Steve Cotterill in pre season, most Salop fans seemed to be worrying about what lay ahead for their team in 23/24.
In came former Cobbler Matty Taylor to take Salop to a new era but that time feels a long way away at the moment.
Shrewsbury have won just three of their opening ten games in League One. All of them against fellow early strugglers - Fleetwood, Cheltenham and Burton - and all of them in August.
They only managed to pick up a solitary point from their four games last month, a 0-0 draw at home to Charlton. And October hasn’t started well for Salop either - Oxford thumped them 3-0 on Tuesday night and midfielder Joe Anderson was sent off to compound their misery.
On this episode, Danny and Charles sit down to talk about the Cobblers win over Reading on Tuesday night and what they think will happen at Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.
