Not all PMO's are created equal. PMO’s offer different functions, have different structures, and may land in different orgs. Most PMO’s are permanent and static in nature. However, there are strategic initiatives that require the PMO to be more innovative, fluid and flexible to ensure successful delivery, and the traditional PMO structure will not work. To achieve the expected result, the PMO must find a new model, both structural and operational. This model has to provide a strategic fit, flexibility, and adaptability. In situations such as this, implementing a temporary PMO can be a great solution. Stacey will share with us the ins and outs and benefits of setting up a temporary PMO, as well use cases for when a temporary PMO can be a great solution for an organization.
