Marsha Vanwynsberghe is a Speaker, Life Coach and Author of the bestselling book, âWhen She Stopped Asking Whyâ and her latest read, âOwning Your Choicesâ. On top of this, Marsha is a dedicated wife, mother and the host of âOwn Your Choices Own Your Lifeâ. A podcast, full of tips, tools and strategies that stem from her own learning + the learnings of others. Marsha is on a mission to educate, empower and inspire. If you have ever had the pleasure of listening to her message, you dang well know this is true.
Marsha believes that when you take radical responsibility for your choices, create boundaries and cultivate courage, you can dramatically change the trajectory of your life. With this, she deems that it is your obligation to share your journey with those who may need to hear it the most.
Marsha mentions how she nearly lost both of her sons in the duration of four days. This traumatic event led her to nearly lose herself. With vulnerability, grit, the courage to ask for support and hard work, Marsha went from being a victim of her story, to completely owning her journey.
In this episode, Marsha and I chat about the courage it takes to be seen, how selectively numbing emotions also numbs joy, what it means to be a soft fighter (someone who has qualities of grit + also the willingness to be vulnerable and ask for support), control, owning our stories and feeling through shame. Marsha also mentions her journey of being a parent, co-dependency, modelling ownership and giving our children permission to change.
If you are a parent, someone who has witness substance abuse or in the stage to seek change, I hope this gives you full permission to take radical responsibility for yourself and as Marsha would coin, âown your choices to own your lifeâ.
âWe need to show up and be seen, when we do that other people can see us.â

Paige's High Dose Functional Chocolates: Calming Chocolates
Lets be honest here. 2020 has been somewhat of a shift show (like what I did here). Whether it be pandemic, justice, or political related or not. Fear, manifesting in the shape of control, tends to seep into our bones when we are faced with unknowns and this year has been one Great Unknown.
However, with control, trust diminishes. Trust in ourselves, others, basic goodness and the world can seem foreign and only reachable to a select few. Trust leads us to opportunity, creativity, insight and mindfulness. Qualities we all possess and can lean into more.
This is a solo episode. I chat about my own experiences of being caught in the Control/Trust seesaw. How forming flexible structure helps ground the nervous system, to therefore tap into a place where trust can arise. How "being fully" in each moment and the mundanities of life helps anchor ourselves. Leading way to possibility, creativity and reinforce trust with each experience. As well as becoming comfortable with the "Don't Know Mind", a teaching from Jack Kornfield. Upon closure, I lead a short meditation to ground and practice "Don't Know Mind".

Caitlin mentions her own process of finding meditation and how her experience with Lyme disease, adrenal overdrive and conditional self-worth pushed her, out of necessity, to seek alternative support. Now, nine years free of Lyme and choosing full potential over fear, Caitlin encourages others in her own words, to âGet Sit Doneâ.

What a Pleasure to connect with Natalie Woeppel. Natalie is a Californian based sound healer, reiki practitioner, artist and self-healing facilitator. Natalie is a guide at heart and embodies such to each individual she works with. She combines coaching, EFT taping, meditation and vibrational/ energetic tuning to help you embrace all aspects of your passage.
Natalieâs sound healing and reiki Journey initially started from the deep want to heal from anxiety and depression. A means to âfixâ unwanted pain and end suffering. This desire promptly charged her to form a foundation of self-acceptance. She learnt to embrace all parts that created her physical existence. Now, with her passion for service and creativity, Natalie helps others to tune in to their own frequency of medicine.
Natalie and I discuss the need to process shadow aspects of self to help align with a new reality. What reiki and sound healing is and how it is secular. The power of discernment. Tuning into the frequency of what feels true to you. How frequencies help access the parasympathetic nervous system. How sound is used in all indigenous cultures and the power of community.
As a conclusion Natalie leads us through an impromptu sound bath. So, take a moment, breath with me and get ready for your SN to mellow like an aged wine.

Welcome to the 11th Episode of The Process Podcast with Kesten Jean. (yes the pod title changed a tad. Apparently copywriter is a thang)
Anywho, This episode is for the guy or girl who habitually finds themselves in a common rut or hole so to speak. Maybe its a situation, thought, feeling, emotional state or just good old past future rumination. We ALLLLLL fall down the same hole at some stage. If your anything like me, you might find yourself having to consciously notice and acknowledge these patterns on a daily basis! (and thats okay)
We dive into a small poem by Portia Nelson and chat about how her words reflect and resemble the slippery sidewalks we can slide into.
As per usual, we touch upon mindfulness and how this way of being (one of non-judgment awareness, kindness, curiosity and compassion) can help us redirect our habitual attention.
Here on the Process Podcast the motto is to embrace the journey/stage that you may find yourself in and to connect with common humanity. I share my own journey so that you too can feel valid and seen in yours.
" Mindfulness isn't about not falling down the hole. Its about Falling down the hole and responding with awareness, non-judgment, and compassion "

Welcome to the 9th episode of The Process Podcast. This episode is all about stepping outside of linear expectations and having the courage and awareness to pursue your heart.
Conditionally, at times we look to an outside source for validation and approval to feel whole and âworthyâ enough to self-express. To create, dream and aspire. We can all fall prey to the ânot good enoughâ syndrome. (or is it just me?)
Creative expression is something that comes from the heart, not the mind. Although the mind may be involved in the creative process. I truly believe that DEEP creation comes from a knowing within us. Within each and every one there is a passion and enthusiasm to create. This is fuelled by our deep primal and spiritual need for connection.
This episode is your âtick of approvalâ to start creating from the very depths of your heart.
TOPICS HIGHLIGHTED
- Trusting your passion regardless of outside credentials
- Feeling âenoughâ when it comes to pursuing your passion
- Creating faith in a non-linear fashion
- The problem with looking for outside validation to feel worthy of following your passion
- How stepping outside of the box can be vulnerable, hard and also liberating
- Being âcreditedâ enough to express can devalue our own potential
- Having the Courage to pursue your heart
- Divergent thinking and Mindfulness in creative expression
- How Mindfulness is the gateway in which we notice our limited story lines in regard to creation
- Tapping into ordinary moments for infinite potential
