The gang at The Produce Stand welcomes Brad Miller, Assistant Director on both Letterkenny and Shoresy.
Brad shares his unconventional path into the film industry, from a difficult high school experience and film school to post-production, DIT, locations, and eventually assistant directing. He talks about the mentors and connections that led him to Letterkenny Season 1 and later Shoresy, clears up some IMDb confusion involving other Brad Millers, and shares stories from working with Mark Wahlberg, Tim Roth, Chevy Chase, Bill Paxton, and more.
Brad also discusses Chemical Valley Films, his punk-show photography, sobriety, and a documentary project about punk outsiders growing up in small-town Canada. He reflects on the supportive culture Jared Keeso and Mark Montefiore have built on Letterkenny and Shoresy, memorable fan set visits, and how some of his own Sarnia stories helped inspire “Bradley Is a Killer” and the legendary Three Jims.
Finally, Brad tackles listener questions about sobriety, favourite bands, his dream project, and the impact of industry strikes before we play him out with Teenage Bottlerocket’s “Skate or Die.”
