Not only did Chief Richardson enjoy an incredible 41-year career in the FDNY, reaching the highest uniformed rank possible as Chief of Department, but he is also a longtime volunteer firefighter and former chief and current commissioner in his hometown volunteer department. He is a passionate firefighter who cares deeply about all firefighters as well as the fire service.
