Originally from South Africa, Ashley Rindsberg is a journalist, essayist and novelist who has focused on investigating the media within the contexts of different crises unfolding in the western world. His writings and articles have appeared in the Los Angeles Review of Books, Huffington Post, Times of Israel, Jerusalem Post and Publishers Week. Earlier he was the founding associate editor of The Tower, based in Washington DC. Ashley is the author of "Tel Aviv Stories" about his 13 years wandering the city, and "In the Heart of the Jungle," based on his personal adventures during political turmoil and violence while searching for a friend who disappeared in Nicaragua. His most recent book is "The Gray Lady Winked: How the New York Time's Misreporting, Distortions and Fabrications Radically Altered History," a book of wonderful story telling about how the newspaper got stories categorically wrong from before WW2 to the present. It took Ashley 15 years to get the book published due to threatening backlashes received from people in the mainstream media. His website is TheGrayLadyWinked.com
