A ton of important news and notes paired with a must-have discussion about a generational TV show paves the way for our longest episode ever! A supercharged 3 hour conversation that spans the casting of Ralph Ineson as Galactus, the Superman suit, a Lord of the Rings Revival and so much more. Then we dive into FX’s “Shogun,” one of the best TV shows, not just of recent memory, but of all time. As a one and done, we felt we needed to give it its entire due, leading to a nearly 2 and half hour breakdown of the Japanese epic. “To me, My X-Men.” Finally, we are doing an X-Men episode. The pièce de résistance of our episode is the deep-dive into the X-Men's realm, charting the character arcs and thematic depth from the beloved '90s animation to the present and continuing with X-Men 97. With an affectionate—yet critically sharp—rant on "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," we pull no punches when it comes to studio interference and the missed opportunities of this contentious movie. Whether you're a die-hard X-Men devotee or a newcomer to the mutant saga, our discussion on character development and narrative consequences in this iconic franchise promises to be nothing short of exhilarating.

On July 21, 2023, we were witnesses to arguably, the biggest commercial day in cinema history. “Barbenheimer” was upon us as Christopher Nolan’s biopic “Oppenheimer” released alongside Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie.” We didn’t get a chance to celebrate these films at the time amidst the writer’s strike but with Oppenheimer’s Oscars success, we thought now was the time. We talk Oscar winners and then discuss these two monumental films and why the marriage of their two releases can never hope to be duplicated. We are back with a special episode where we provide a fully NON-SPOILER review of “Dune: Part Two” We cover the technical marvel directed by Denis Villenueve starring Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson and so many more. We talk less about the plot and more about how the movie made us feel exiting the theater. This is a totally safe review to listen to before you go see, so come join us and decide for yourselves if this is the movie for you before our full spoiler review later this week!

We were whisked away to the sweeping dunes of Arrakis, as we share our fresh impressions of "Dune: Part Two." bringing Denis Villeneuve's brilliance into sharp focus. Through our discussion, you'll witness how the sequel enriches the storytelling canvas with robust performances and a visual grandeur that could easily crown it as 2024's cinematic masterpiece.

We remark balance struck by Greg Fraser's cinematography, marrying technical genius with emotive depth. We dissect the film's budget and box office potential, juxtaposing its release against the backdrop of a world emerging from pandemic shadows. This chapter in the Dune series, we argue, is not just a film; it's a defining moment for the franchise and for movies in general that reshape the cinematic landscape.

Join us as we celebrate the creative triumphs of "Dune: Part Two" and the visionaries who have propelled it onto the screen.

It’s another catch up episode. Unfortunately Rob went to Florida, got Covid, recovered, and then promptly had his wisdom teeth ripped out so we had to take a couple weeks off. WE ARE BACK though to talk about all the news and notes from the last couple weeks including DC, Video Games, Directors doing things, show premieres and yes, all the Marvel news that started with Deadpool 3 and bled into the Fantastic 4 cast being revealed.

This week, we navigate the twists and turns of the latest movie, TV, and gaming news, leaving no stone unturned across the fandom multiverse. Amidst the cosmic clash of superheroes and antiheroes, we dissect the fabric of what makes characters like Superman soar and ponder James Gunn's vision for the caped crusader's legacy. Our voices buzz with anticipation for 'Invincible' Season 2, while 'The Acolyte' and 'The Boys' Season 4 promise to upend our expectations of villainy and valor.

We share our feverish excitement for 'Dune: Part Two.
