The Project Project

For our 30th episode we decided to watch an incredibly dull movie and tell you, the lucky listeners, all about it.

Take Shutter Island and remove all tension & artistic vision and what do you get? That's right, 2008's the Lazarus Project starring the late, great Paul Walker!

Expect a host of Daredevil alumni, an extremely long and pointless introduction & lots of religious imagery (without the themes to go with it).

Sam has also watched Archive 81 & The Cuphead Show, whilst Lewis has watched The Flintstones.

Welcome to The Silver Screen Project, where we look back at a series in anticipation of an exciting new cinema release.

In the lead up to the release of Matt Reeves' The Batman, we are revisiting a series of modern superhero classics - the Christopher Nolan trilogy.

This episode we begin our Nolan retrospective with the most influential comic book movie of recent memory - Batman Begins (2005).

This week we revisited the 2001 cartoon classic The Zeta Project to watch episodes 3 & 4. Zeta continues to be a terrible infiltrator & Ro contumely moans about being an orphan.

What do Zeta & Ro get up to this time? How do these episodes compare with the first two? Has our interest in this show sharply declined? Tune in to find out!

For this out-of-this-world episode we watched the first episode of 2006's Project Blue Earth SOS, the amazingly titled "Mysterious Flying-Saucer Invasion! Sky Knight Takes Off!".

In what might be our weirdest episode yet, Lewis tries to recap a somewhat underwhelming first episode whilst Sam makes impressions of ray guns & rocket launchers.

Also one of the characters is called Lotta Brest - and not the one you'd expect.

In our very first sequel episode we discuss the martial arts adventure Project A Part II (1987). Following on from the previous instalment, Jackie Chan’s Dragon Ma is tasked with cleaning up the mean streets of Hong Kong.

Expect a complicated plot involving Anti-Colonial Revolutionaries, revenge-seeking Pirates & an extended scene of Marx Brothers-inspired farcical comedy.

For our first full release of 2022 we've watched the episode "Vanity Project" from the 2013 comedy Toast of London -  just in time for the new season "Toast of Tinseltown"!

In this particular outing our titular character is recruited to star in a film funded by a wealthy gentleman with a grudge against a particular Royal - all in order to pay his expensive divorce settlement.

Expect Prince Phillip on trial, a Bowling misunderstanding & the story of Derek Sibling, the brightest in his year at Rada.

In the very first Project Project Christmas special we've watched the modern classic 'Project Christmas Wish' (2020), a saccharine seasonal treat which ticks all the boxes of a Hallmark movie.
