An ancient festival and birthday of the Church, Pentecost also contains a promise: the life we all yearn for God will provide. It seems at times that we are ever straying into error, yet God has rescued us and sent his indwelling Spirit to daily form us in grace and love. For as the law came in fire to Moses on Sinai, so too it comes to us at Pentecost, a flame upon our hearts that always abides.
