In the 8th overall matchup between N.Y.J. & Carolina to kickoff the 2021 season. Former New York Jet franchise quarterback Sam Darnold is now the Panthers franchise q.b. (for now). It will however be a serious meeting as the Jets gave up on Darnold, some say too fast. Two franchises looking to get better as soon as they can. At 1:00 p.m. est the Los Angeles Chargers will be in Washington to face The Football Team for only the 12th time in NFL history. Justin Herbert heads into his second season as the leader of the Chargers and for Washington well, gritty, grizzled old veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick will be the leader of our nation's capital pro franchise. Both teams finished 7-9 in 2020 but Washington won the NFC East.
