Family healing is one of the most challenging and rewarding paths of working with plant medicine.

At some point on this path, you may find yourself in a place of sacred solitude. When old relationships are falling away or changing, but new ones haven't started to sprout yet. This can be a lonely place of feeling like you don't belong. That there is something wrong with you. That you will never find your people.

That's simply not true.

You can come to peace with your origin family, even if your relationships change. You can choose your family by embodying the values and vibration you want and attracting from that place of magnetism. It is not hard to make friends when you are confident and present in your authentic self.

You can only elevate your relationships with others when you come to peace and love in relationship with yourself. When you face and feel the feelings handed down to you by your grandparents and your parents and everyone who came before.

When you stop separating yourself from Nature and Spirit, and look in the mirror and see that God has been here inside and all around you the whole time. When you decide to believe a new truth.

On this week's show, I'm sharing about healing the wounds of family. Deciding you can choose your family. And learning how to let go of limiting beliefs about the world and what matters through authentic, honest relationship. Healing the wounds of our ancestors, finding your tribe, and the power of love to outlast time and space.

The inability to let go is fear of the unknown. It's fear of uncertainty. It's small capacity plus activation. That's it. And you can absolutely learn how to walk in power directly into the unfolding magic of the mystery with confidence and grace.

Once you start working with medicines, it becomes clear that peace and joy can only be found when there is trust.​

And trust requires you to chill the f*ck out so that you can open your heart to receive. To listen. To let everything fall away and sit in the silence of Source speaking directly to you.

It requires letting go of attachments. Lowering your insanely high expectations. And doing less. A lot less. Letting go of the wheel.

Outcome independence is a concept or mindset where you detach your well-being, happiness, and self-worth from external sources. It's giving less f*cks and letting go of needing things to be a certain way to be happy. It's releasing attachment to "happiness" as a destination you can strive and achieve your way into.

Instead, you focus on the journey, allowing and enjoying the unfolding, and being present for your life today. You do things because you enjoy them, NOT because of what you are trying to achieve or extract from them.

Psilocybin mushrooms are amazing creatures. An ancient consciousness that has been gathering Earth wisdom and performing energy alchemy for billions of years.

How they work in nature is how they work in our bodies. The mycelium network connects, transforms, and transports. It turns death into life. It takes what is no longer needed and creates fertile ground for planting what wants to grow instead.

Fungi are literally magic. And the fact that we are able to take these mushrooms into our bodies and brains and experience consciousness beyond the veil is not an accident.

They grow everywhere. They are sustainable, accessible, and affordable. Mushrooms have a rich history of healing and helping humans for thousands of years if not longer, across many indigenous lineages, including the Mazatec and Wixárika people of Mexico.

Most of the clients I work with are healing with some kind of psilocybin mushrooms. They are easy to grow at home, and are often the most accessible and practical entry point to experiencing psychedelics. They are very safe and don't have the kind of strict requirements around diet and medical guidelines as ayahuasca. They can also be a bit more gentle on the body and system, especially for beginners.

Grandfather San Pedro is one of the most powerful and humble plant medicines on Earth (that you may not have heard much about.) So a couple weeks ago inside my ​NEST Group Integration Membership​, I issued a challenge to the group: Take a vacation from your problems.

Over the next week, there were so many big breakthroughs, insights, and Aha! moments that came through for multiple Nesties. Why? Because stopping the forward motion allows space. And space allows things to rise into your awareness. Where you can witness it with compassion, and identify your patterns, and even addictive coping mechanisms.

Healing is receptive. Passive. It's what happens under the surface and behind the scenes when you are in a calm, regulated state. It's the state of allowing. Of softening. Of putting down the impulse to take on yet another side quest, and focus on doing less.

Integration is wholeness. Calmness. Peace. It is what happens in the space between.
