  • Episode 40 - My Reflections: The Body, Family, Humility, and Gentleness

Welcome to your weekly dose of The Psychedelic Psychologist. This week, you'll hear from me,  your host.  I'm humbled to share a recent integration psychedelic experience and discuss my insights on integration and the new psychedelic renaissance. With the help of Kate, my guest interviewer, I'll explore the idea of how best to practically integrate my own life changing experiences.

I go into talking about my recent journey through describing the appreciation I have for my body and what it does to serve me. The latest experience provided me a humbling reminder that we are all impermanent and need to tend to "our body".

The session provided me a wonderful way to empathize with the idea of being in someone else's shoes. I bow to all the courageous people using these medicines to explore, reflect, and heal themselves.

Furthermore, Justin provides us an insight into his story and the importance of listening to yourself and finding allies.

Justin has had a long history with psychedelics and respects the work deeply; however, he shares you can always get "burned by the fire" even when your prepared and ready. His story is so important with today's fast past more, more, bigger, bigger culture being turned on.

  • Episode 35 - All Things Healing, Sexual Health, Integration, and Soberity.

Welcome to your weekly dose of The Psychedelic Psychologist. This week we meet with Danny who is integrating his relationship with his addiction to sex; as well as, the memories of his psychedelic experiences.

In Danny's story you hear a great deal of the importance of the evolution of integration. It can change over time. The practical approach of continuing to look at all the different themes that have come up in the psychedelic sessions is always important. He shares a great deal of insight from how to look at oneself, process a psychedelic experience, and understand when to step away from any non-ordinary states.

Danny shares a remarkable story of resilience thru ideas of de-personalization and feeling stuck. Yet Danny provides us with a great reminder of the value of trusting in the process.

Welcome to your weekly dose of The Psychedelic Psychologist. This week I have a deep conversation about healing addiction, finding hope and looking for redemption. Adam shares a poignant testimony about a long history of betrayal and addiction leaving him lost. Then he started processing and preparing for a psychedelic session. All things changed!

Adam is clear it was an instant transformation; however, he is very aware of the importance preparation and integration play in order to continue keep his family, relationship and mental health grounded. He describes being in his body and not being distracted by his mind and the intrusive thoughts that have been brought on by addiction and lies.

Adam is a true testament to healing and facing the fears we all have.

  • Episode 31 - Intention Setting With No Intention: Soul Traveling

Welcome to your weekly dose of The Psychedelic Psychologist. This week I go off script, and in part one of a two part segment we meet Tyler who is preparing for a session. We talk about his intentional setting; specifically, how he starts to remove himself from daily activities. First by feeling tired he starts the process of going internal. He explains the feeling of his "souls" desire to fly. We are candid in our conversation around the difference of this being in a reflective state and not depression or suicidal thoughts.

Tyler paints a rather interesting perspective with his intention setting, the more he has created his ritual using these medicines the more he is finding value in not setting a clear intention. Rather he shares the importance of clearing the body, heart, mind, and spirit.
