Any addiction is serious however relationship addiction is deadly serious. An addiction is a reliance on something for normal functioning. If this object is removed, then a withdrawal shock is experienced.

As the addiction progresses it can and does create manic levels and the individual will repetitively have the compulsion to return to the source of their addiction despite harmful consequences to their mental, emotional, physical and financial state.
