The Public Affair episodes
- Rosalinda PerezThis woman.... She is a warrior, a survivor, a goddess! I remember a lot of people here in Waco telling me that she had a great story to tell, and that was quite the understatement! From being a single teen mom, walking to work, section 8 housing, a suicide attempt and more, Rosalinda has truly been through it all! She hopes her story will reach out to other young women and men who are going through something similar, and know there is a light at the end of the tunnel! From all that, to eventually running the juggernaut that is Rosalinda's Insurance Agency, she is one hell of a woman!

1 hr 5 min - Holly Tucker
https://youtu.be/h75M4PCv6OE
I can't believe I actually had THE Holly Tucker on the show! Holly is a local country music QUEEN who made her breakthrough on Season 4 of the hit show on NBC, The Voice! I had a great conversation with her about her time on the show, her musical come up, her own personal thoughts on the direction her career is going, and more! Holly gave us some music "industea", and even sang her hit single "Rhythm of You" live on the show! I am so honored to have had this beautiful soul on the show!

53 min - Juan Zunigahttps://youtu.be/YAO-DOjPYvM
I met Juan through social media a few years ago. I reached out to him when I saw that he had been about 2 or 3 years sober from alcohol, and I was trying to get an old friend on the same road. Since then, I have seen this guy single handedly try to give back to his community, just because! I always admired his energy and optimism however, we never had the opportunity to sit and chop it up... until now! This episode of The Public Affair is all the vibes, and I am so happy that Juan agreed to come on and share his story!Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

1 hr 6 min - Jaime LermaAny of my guests can tell you, we DO NOT rehearse nor do I tell you what to say or how to react, and Jaime followed suit! I always appreciate a guest who can freely speak their mind, and this World Welterweight Champion gave us nothing less. It was pretty cool sitting with this world title holder about his boxing career, and the state of boxing in 2022. Coach Jaime Lerma is as direct and blunt as they come, and he is unapologetic!

1 hr 20 min - Trevor Lamb (Evo)This was for sure long overdue! Trevor (or I know him by his stage name, Evo), is another highly motivated and talented guy who wears a number of hats! I got introduced to him when I first heard him on a Joey Sais (Episode 5) song called "Fire". I remember around that time, people were telling me how great of a guest he would be for the show, and I never reached out until recently... so glad I did! Evo was very open about his time in the music business, how it ended and why he quit music, going through a dark time in his life and ultimately, starting the ENTITY that is Motion Theory Media! He just got back from tour with a major music artist, so the timing was perfect!

56 min - Ulises RosasI really feel like Ulises is the epitome of "positivity" and "success". Like, if Ulises had something major going on in his life, you would never know because he sports a big smile from ear to ear like he's putting it in style! Ulises came on the show and shared things like life growing up without his biological dad, juggling family life with college and running his own Raising Cane's (which talking about totally made me hungry). Ulises was almost a "fresh of breath air" on the show, and I'm really glad I had the chance to sit down with him and talk about all his successes!

55 min - Ezekiel Chris ReyesIn an earlier episode of The Public Affair, I got to learn about "trans life" from the perspective of a trans woman (shout out Cici Ortiz). This time, I wanted the perspective of a trans man, which is why I was so excited to have my longtime friend, Chris Reyes, come on! Chris took some time to think about coming on the show, mainly because he lives a pretty private lifestyle, but I was glad when he felt comfortable enough to sit with me and talk about his transition! With a 6 pack of Lonestar beer, Chris opened up naturally and I applaud his bravery!

1 hr 10 min - Misa the Barber (Misael Trevino)After over a year of asking, Misa the Barber finally decided to sit down on the show, and did not disappoint! Much like the episode we made, Misa is super laid back, chill, and honest! I loved talking about his life growing up (shout out to Denice Trevino Baltazar from Ep. 33), his career as a barber and more. He didn't shy away from the sensitive subjects either, like the rise in barbers prices and more! I am so glad I finally had him on the show, as I am sure his peers will be as well!

1 hr 11 min - Dj Juni and Dj Mas LokoEarly in my radio career, there were several Dj's and MC's I looked up to and were greatly inspired by. Dj Juni and Dj Mas Loko were definitely two of them! These guys know how to keep the party alive with their infectious personalities, and having them on the show was truly the highest honor! I loved talking about their radio Dj beginnings with the likes of other popular radio MC's like El Kutiz (Episode 3), and letting Juni know if I was "Activo" or "Pasivo" ;D.

1 hr - Junior Banda and Carlos ReyesThis episode was absolutely DELICIOUS. Junior has been a longtime sponsor with PhatBoy Micheladas y Botana and I have been begging him to come on the show! I was happy that Carlos Reyes came along with him to promote the upcoming, and scrumptious, Chonkys Tacos, as well! This episode also sits in as my first "Spanglish" episode, which I have also been excited to do!
