Well, we went live today (on Youtube) and although things didn’t go down without a hitch, we still had some fun and enjoyed the interaction we received with those that jumped in with us. We started the show talking about the passing of Mike’s favorite comic of all time and how he seemed to walk a line in comedy that most folks have become afraid to walk in today’s new cancel culture. We also discussed his faith and his loyalty to his friend Rosanne, even when everyone else seemed to turn on her. This was a great segway into our topic of the evening, which was Friendship. We tested the waters of “true friendship” by giving a friendship test to a friend of the podcast, Derek. Needless to say, he failed the test. But it was a great opportunity for Mike and I to discuss what real friendship looks like and why deep friendship, in a world sold on social media, is not only important but crucial. The world threw us a curveball today. We had our plans on what we were going to discuss, but with President Biden’s edict being released, our plans changed. However, this reality fit well with the primary topic of the show today, as we discussed how much of a priority science should play in our lives and how much evidence should we need before we simply, TRUST THE SCIENCE. Jason made it back, after kidnapping his grandma, and the boys have now made the decision to start a fundraiser for their yet-to-be-finalized move to the great state of Idaho. Today’s show was dedicated to the increasingly clear picture that all the promises we’ve been told about how to beat COVID and get back to normal were nothing short of terrible lies. We then shifted gears as we discussed the intensifying hate and vitriol towards those who make the decision not to get vaccinated and instead choose their own path to staying safe and staying alive. While the woke culture chastises people for their freedom, those in power continue to flex their power as they try to make independence and freedom of choice and conscience a sin against humanity. This was the perfect transition into the conversation about the true pandemic plaguing man, which will cost every person (man, woman, and child) their life and how man’s true enemy (the devil) is completely satisfied with people focusing their time and attention on things which have very little eternal significance. This set the table for our final segment, which was to look at traditions within the church to discuss their history and how they should be evaluated and/or validated using scripture.
