Rachel Cook is the Founder of Seeds (seedsgives.com), a cryptocurrency mutual aid ecosystem which has helped people in need in 30 countries and counting, with a focus on women. When you help someone in need through Seeds, you receive SEEDS cryptocurrency in thanks, empowering people to build wealth *through* giving. Rachel was a career-profitable pro stock trader in Chicago and on Wall Street before the misogyny drove her to quit. She began buying Bitcoin at ~$90 a coin, and was extremely excited about blockchain technology's potential to transcend the discrimination baked into the old system. However, she was forced to sell her Bitcoin in 2013 to keep Seeds alive, largely because misogyny in venture capital means that 98.1% of investment dollars go to men. To help other women avoid this, anyone in need can redeem a single SEED to ask for the amount of funding they need, and receive it as a gift. Rachel hopes that one day Seeds will render venture capital obsolete. With the 4th Bitcoin Halving, the historical catalyst for the giant market surges we've seen in the past, she is working to help as many women as possible build wealth in cryptocurrency this market cycle.Rachel is nomadic, but recently built a tiny house from a kit, on land she owns in Western Massachusetts. Both the land and the house were purchased with cryptocurrency. Her travel buddy is her 9 year old rescue pup, Bowie.
