Sometimes transferring to a higher level of care facility during labor is what's best for the baby or parent. Whether it's from home or a birth center to a hospital or from one hospital to another, it can be very scary and stressful. In this episode, we have Heather Prestridge, the administrative director of a free standing birth center, to talk about why and how transfers happen and her personal experience when she was transferred during labor. Then Rachael, who was transferred due to blood loss during delivery, speaks about her personal story and if she would do it all again!
