Mark Bland and Jason Kull welcome nobody on this episode of the show so sit back and enjoy the ramblings of these two! First up JD Vance straight out admits that they lied about the "eating dogs and cats" thing (the thing that Trump and him have claimed since the debate). This admission comes on the heels of Trump making up things about his debate performance and other assorted campaign mishaps. The guys discuss lying and how it seems to always come from one party and not the other. Where the republicans outright lie about fake things that son't exist. Democrats just let them down and that is what makes them liars. Dems work on big problems that fall short. That is not lying. Next up Mark discusses the latest UFC fight and how gorgeous the arena looked, but he also discusses the main event and peoples reactions to it. Then it's on to a tournament of Pop culture: Most Quotable Horror Villain. Who makes you want to repeat their lines over and over. "Do you want to play a game" for the 2010's for sure! But who else has the verbal chops too. they break it down so you can figure it out! Finally, there are things on this earth we feel should have been fixed a long time ago but seem to still be an issue in 2024. Like wiping down car windows easy! By now they should have something for that to make it easier...but nope. What else is there? Well Mark and Jay discuss and let you know on this episode of the QNow.
The show is back and LIVE on Thursday nights at newsradiokyro.com or 105.3 FM KYRO Locally in St. Louis. On this Episode welcome both Adam Sommers of the Heartland Podcast and Missouri Federal Senate Canididate Jared Young! First up, the second debate in the presidential election happened, and well lets say Trump didn't come off as Glowing as he could have. At one point ranting about people eating their pet dogs and cats. At another time getting fact checked on the same information or one of the many other things he got stopped on. It definitely was a better look for Kamala Harris who kept the heat on and definitely got under Trumps skin. Next Jared Young is a Senate hopeful in the state of missouri who has his work cut out for him against Lucas Kunce and Josh Hawley. Jared sits down to discuss his background, uprbringing and the type of candidate that he will be for the people of Missouri. Finally Adam Sommers comes on to discuss our current political situation and his thoughts on the debate and if he saw the same things we saw. Plus Adam discusses his background as a lawyer and we put him on the hotseat!
Marcus Boston Returns for more hijinks and political discussion! First up the gentlemen, Mark Bland and Jason Kull along with Marcus, discuss the Trump campaign and their current clumsiness with how they are handling 2024. This brings up a deeper discussion on why people should not be looking to Trump as their option in the world for President. Mark and Jason discuss the clumsy handling of the government between 2017-2021 when Trump was in charge. Next up, the guys discuss the situation at Arlington National Cemetery with Trumps security detail (secret service) and a story about an altercation and Trump's people showing a woman. And Mark explains that it sums up the campaign in 2024 so far for Trump...."pushed a woman". Everything republicans do makes them look weak and inefficient constantly. Finally Mark debuts a new game called Sorry I'm Late to the world of the Qnow and 105.3/1280 KYRO! Marcus and Jason battle it out as they try to figure out the movies being described to them. Will someone destroy someone else? Are the clues too hard or easy? All of this and much more is awaiting you in this episode of the The Qnow!
Man oh man was the state fair a fun watch. Lucas Kunce and Josh Hawley decided to face off in the most absurd wanna be debate of any senators career! It was amazing to watch and Jenna Roberson is here to discuss it! First Up is the Hawley/Kunce debacle. Josh Hawley decided to find Lucas Kunce at the Missouri State Fair and ambush him with a camera crew trying to get him to debate him live. Hawley wanted a Lincoln Douglas style debate and Kuntz just wanted to argue with Holly about how he's not the right man for the job. In the end everybody was given a lot of funny things to watch. Mark Bland, Jason Kull and Jenna Roberson discuss.
Next up it seems that schools are a hot bed of issues in the USA. Currently the Francis Howell School Board is off it's rocker and trying to ban books like it is 1950. Trump is claiming they are going to do away with the Dept of education. And it's a major point of contention between Jenna Roberson and her November opponent. The guys discuss these aspects and try to figure out if there's any value to getting rid of the Department of Education. Finally have you ever thought of mayonnaise as a sweet smell that you'd love to rub all over yourself for a special someone? Well Will Levis of the Tennessee Titans has designed a cologne that smells like mayonnaise. The guys discuss if this is even something worth people's time.
Well well well the QNow is now live on 105.3/1280 KYRO every single Thursday night starting at 7pm and available worldwide on theqnow.com . First up Mark and Jason welcome back Jonathan May to the show. A lot has changed since he was on the show so we pick his brain to find out what he thinks about Kamala Harris as well as her VP pick Tim Walz. This leads to a discussion about local elections and the August 6th primaries. Corey Bush seems to be one of the individuals who was beat out in her primary and the gentleman discuss why this was. Next up we have a tournament of pop culture for the best Marvel character in the MCU. Jonathan considers himself sort of a savant when it comes to the Marvel Universe and so we wanted to really put it up to him and see what he thought about the best characters overall. Could it be Spider-Man, could it be the Hulk? What about Thor or even Stan Lee himself. Download and find out! Finally there are a lot of deadly jobs in the world but there are only six that top the list. Do you do one of these jobs? Would you be willing to do one of these jobs? The crew breaks down the list and we find out what are the most dangerous jobs on planet Earth in 2024.
Mark Bland and Jason Kull welcome guests Jenna Roberson & Political candidate Bethany Mann! Plus discussion on Tim Walz as the new VP candidate and a conversation with Jenna Robersona and Bethany Mann about Political Strategy!
On this Episode of the QNow we welcome political candidates Liz Callahan and Amanda Taylor running in Missouri for House district 103. Also Jenna Roberson steps back in to hang out and chat. Joe Biden has exited the 2024 Presidential Race and Republicans are heated that he can choose not to run for president. It's because their guy looks like the old and dementia ridden candidate at this point. The guys discus all the ramifications and what the future is looking like for the USA! Amanda Taylor and Lizz Callahan are running for State House District 103 in the St. Charles County area! These two amazing ladies jump in to discuss their campaigns and some of the topics they are focusing on in the up coming August 6th primary election! Affordable Housing, Social Justices and many more topics are on the table as both these two join the show to get the word out! Finally, there are appetizers and then their are finger foods. Both seem to be in the same vein, but maybe there is slight differences. On this episode they focus on the FINGER FOODS specifically and break down if this Ranker list holds up with thousands of people voting on all these foods. Will Pizza reign supreme, what about Chocolate Strawberries...so many options...all figured out on this episode!
On this episode of the show, Andy Echle Joins to discuss the attempted assassination of Donald Trump and going out to Vegas to play in the World Series of Poker.
First up, Donald Trump was almost assassinated by a man name Thomas Crooks. Crooks was able to get on a roof of a building and take a few shots at the former President. The guys discuss the events that took place and how this bodes for the country moving forward in the 2024 election. Next up, is the Republican National Convention and all the stories coming out of it. Even the boring Trump speech at the end. But before all that, JD VANCE was picked as the VP candidate to go along with Trump. Mark and the guys seem to think that JD is a yes man and that he brings nothing of value to the table. The gentlemen discuss this new nominee pick! Finally, there are ways to tell if someone is very intelligent. How many of these things do you tick off on the list...so how intelligent are you? And Andy discusses his trip out to Las Vegas to play in the World Series of Poker tournament. Now Andy didn't win the millions of the main table, but he held his own when had to play...plus he discusses being sick while on vacation...which always sucks!
Welcome welcome welcome to another amazing episode of The Qnow with Mark Bland and Jason Kull. This weeks guest is former candidate and political advisor to the show John Scheper! First things first, it seems that Biden is still battling the demons from the Debate a few weeks ago. Everyone wants him to step down and/or pivot to another candidate. But are there any that could potentially handle the onslaught from the Trump supporters. The guys discuss the debate, and the options on the board for Biden moving forward. Next up it seems that Project 2025 (we discussed on the last show) is gaining a ton of steam from the right people. It looks a like a doom and gloom novel that republicans seem to be alright with. It strips people of many services including public education? Now are they really gonna try and find a baby sitter now, when their kids were fine in school as it stands currently? Finally we have three so we are doing the Mid-summer classic Tournament of Pop Culture. This time we focus on baseball movies and which one is the best overall. Mark saw this bracket broke down somehwere else and couldn't believe that one movie beat all the others. The Qnow is setting out to prove what is the best overall baseball movie of all time!
Jenna Roberson is back to discuss her running for a seat with the Missouri State House of Reps and joining to help breakdown Project 2025. First up, There was a presidential debate and everyone knows that Biden looked bad, but the guys and gals breakdown more of this debate and put the proper context on how things should be viewed. Yes, Biden is old, but he answered the questions. Trump is also the same old and he didn't answer any of them really. Would you rather have a focused leader or some idiot that is all over the place. They will discuss. Trump is battling tons of issues right now, but the SCOTUS just decided that they are unwilling to hear the Trump immunity case before the election in November. Problem for everyone is that this is pretty open and shut. But with this new decision, it's making people think that the president gets unlimited power and control. Which makes Trump look dangerous and bad person. Finally, Project 2025 is a sycophant's fever dream of revamping the federal government into a conservative windfall. Replacing all employees with ones only loyal to the republican party and Trump (currently) as well as forcing other issues and creating a generally not useful government system. It's really a scary thing and the guys talk about all the aspects and whether this will come to pass or not.
