Substance Abuse is something that has been increasing in awareness due to the opioid crisis we are experiencing. But pills are not the only types of substances that we need to be worried about & sobriety is no longer the only evidence based treatment out there. Addiction can take many forms and respectively so can treatment. One size does not fit all when it comes to rehab, drug clinics or even D&A(drug and alcohol) therapy.

This week's episode is about depression and how to tell the difference between typical sadness and possible depressive episodes or chronic depression. Not all sadness is created equal and the more we know the better we can support ourselves and others.

Anxiety is something we all deal with maybe not always in a clinical sense but we all know what it feels like to be nervous. Anxiety can be simple nervousness or excessive worrying but often times it's deeper than that. On today's episode we will discuss what anxiety is and what it isn't and some coping skills you can use to help yourself through a high stress moment.

It's about how women are held to more double standards on dating than men. Even with toxic masculinity women still have a harder lot as far her behavior being policed in relation to her race, sexuality, education level, economic status and other identifying factors that may color the way a person sees women's behavior with regard to the people she chooses to do her business with in every sense of the word.

What are the messages we are being sent about love, dating, beauty and the perceived value of being in a coupled partnership?
