The QB Room

Today we got the power clean impresario, the Wildcat wonder, the long-arm of Lexington, Will Levis joining The Room.   Will is a guy we met at Super Bowl last season. We thought he was a really nice dude with a really big arm. He's still both those things, but since February, it feels like everyone wants to talk about this guy's NFL Draft potential, and he's had more attention on him than ever.  That'll only get crazier this weekend when Mark Stoops, Will and the Kentucky Wildcats head out to Neyland stadium to play against Hendon Hooker and the Tennessee Volunteers in what is probably the game of the week in college football.  We were stoked to hang out with Will this week. You can see why everyone in that building loves the dude's approach. I mean we did this interview at 8:30 p.m. Lexington time, and he was still in the Kentucky football facility.  Then in Throw It Deep Or Check It Down to start the show, we're talking through how realistic three SEC teams in the college football playoff actually is, WTF is going on with the Giants, and whether or not Aaron Rodgers can really squat 425.  If you're new here, we are talking with the best quarterbacks going into the most interesting matchups every week, and we are talking to them like we would in the quarterback room. Just players talking about the game and whatever else might come up. Now you get an inside look as Jordan and Kyle talk with quarterbacks just like they would in the most important room in any football organization. We're proud of this podcast.  This is The Room.

We haven't seen anyone else do this! Exclusive interviews from the quarterbacks in the biggest matchup of the week in college football: Bo Nix from Oregon and Dorian Thompson-Robinson from UCLA. College Gameday is traveling to Eugene, and we're giving you the interviews from the quarterbacks in that matchup.

We talk Pac-12 life with both, the current college football landscape, but this is also just a check-in with guys Jordan has worked with and seen develop over the last six years. Now College Gameday is pulling up to watch these guys play 🤯

In Opening Drive Coach’s Script, we’re bringing up the Russell Wilson situation, because it highlights the challenges and the importance of building a team as a quarterback. The Broncos haven't gotten off to the start they wanted, and we think this is a big reason why.

We are talking with the best quarterbacks going into the most interesting matchups every week, and we are talking to them like we would in the quarterback room. No cameras. No press. Just players talking about the game. And now you get an inside look as Jordan and Kyle talk with him just like they would in there. We're proud of this podcast.

We’re talking with the Penn State quarterback, Sean Clifford. He’s absolutely killing the game in the NIL realm at Penn State and beyond. Even though Jordan hated people saying it to him, he let Sean know he's "not worrying about him" as he leaves college.

This week, Sean and Penn State square up against J.J. McCarthy at Michigan, where both teams are undefeated.  Sean is a good dude, good quarterback, and has this incredible drive and passion for helping out the next generation.

In Opening Drive Coach’s Script, we’re talking about Matt Rhule, Hendon Hooker and The Vols, this week's best matchups in college football, and Draymond Green’s punch heard around the world. In Throw It Deep Or Check It Down, we are discussing Christian McCaffrey’s future (maybe with the Bills?), Ron Rivera’s dicey press conference comment, and Oregon’s pink uniforms.

We are talking with the best quarterbacks going into the most interesting matchups every week, and we are talking to them like we would in the quarterback room. No cameras. No press. Just players talking about the game. And now you get an inside look as Jordan talks with him just like he would in that room.

Today, Trevor Lawrence joins Jordan to talk about Kyle behind his back…because Kyle was in the midst of watching film of Trevor for the upcoming game, so he was unable to join the interview portion.

Jordan and Trevor talk about how great power comes with great responsibility (even at 22) and who has more chill: Mark Sanchez or Peyton Manning.

Trevor is humble beyond belief, mature enough to be 10 years older, and honed in on what’s up next. For him, that means winning against the Texans — hello, Kyle — this weekend and keeping their No. 1 spot in the AFC South.

We were still able to get into the news of the week including: college coaches in the hot seat, Urban Meyer’s NFL performance, Tua’s concussions, and successful podcasters who may be suiting back up to play professional ball. In Throw It Deep Or Check It Down, we debate whether Cooper Rush should continue to start over Dak Prescott, if Patrick Mahomes is treated like NFL’s LeBron James, and much more.

Trevor Lawrence knows a thing or two about the QB room. And now you get an inside look as Jordan talks with him just like he would in that room.

No cameras. No press. Just players talking about the game.

This week’s episode is a little different from the rest. With Jordan out, Kyle decided to invite three friends on the show: Christian Kirk, Jordan Schultz, and Max Browne.

Christian Kirk is a wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jordan Schultz is an NFL insider who broke the news about Gronk’s retirement. Max Browne is a college football analyst and was the #1 quarterback recruit coming out of high school back in 2012, a year before Kyle Allen was the #1 QB recruit.

They’re covering everything from the state of the Jacksonville Jaguars this year, to NFL insider myth-busting, to the best quarterbacks in college football right now.

It’s a special episode, and you get more bang for your buck with these three amazing minds in the football world. Even though they may not be current quarterbacks, these guys know their stuff. And Kyle gets to talk with them just like he would in the quarterback room. No cameras. No press. Just players talking about the game.

This week, we have a VERY special guest with us. The Glizzy Guzzler himself, Mark Sanchez.

Mark is a good friend, incredible athlete, and talented on-air broadcaster with great one-liners like “Shelton is clearing out defenders faster than a teenager clears out their search history.”

Today, we talk with him about his legendary career in the NFL, how he earned the nickname Glizzy Guzzler, and the changes he’s seen in the quarterback position over the years.

In the news this week, we’re talking about how the investment in a great backup QB can really make or break for any team, how Tua’s performance could affect the AFC East, and what we think of Tommy Rees laying into Drew Payne. In our Throw it Deep or Chuck It Down segment, we’re talking about Michael Vick’s comment about the Patriots coaching decisions as of late, whether Russell Wilson should change his signals, Kyler Murray’s running style, and more.

Even when we aren’t talking with a quarterback with a huge matchup this week, we are still able to bring on the best football minds in the business. Week after week, we talk with these guys like we would in the quarterback room. No cameras. No press. Just players talking about the game.

We’re talking about moving boxes, throwing touchdowns, and Heisman chances in today’s episode with Miami’s quarterback, Tyler Van Dyke.   This week, Miami faces off against Texas A&M.

Even though they dropped one to App State, this is still the game of the week, and it's still going down in Kyle Stadium in front of 100,000 Aggies fans.

In the news this week, we’re talking about Kyle’s undefeated season, Russ’ one-of-a-kind look, why Lamar’s missing out on deals and much, much more. In our Throw it Deep or Chuck It Down segment, we’re talking about the biggest overreactions from Week 1 and how we feel about Pat McAfee joining the College GameDay crew as a full-time analyst.

Another week, another chance to remind you. We are talking with the best quarterbacks going into the most interesting matchups every week, and we are talking to them like we would in the quarterback room. No cameras. No press. Just players talking about the game.

Flautas, football, and talking about what every version of Buffalo means to Josh Allen. This is our best episode yet.

He's one of our best friends and one of the first guys we knew we needed to get on when we talked about starting this show. He's got this different level of expectations on him this season in the NFL. Most importantly, he's one of the funniest human beings we know, and we wanted to give him a chance to show that.

Our goal with this show is to talk to the best quarterbacks with the biggest matchups that week. Thursday, the Bills face off against the Rams in Josh’s home state of California. This was a great time for us to talk to Josh.

In the news this week, we’re recapping the Backyard Brawl, talking about the biggest differences between college football and the NFL, giving some solid and not-so solid Week 1 predictions for college football, and sharing our thoughts on Russell Wilson’s new deal with the Broncos.

In Throw It Deep or Chuck It Down, we are answering questions like, Is it a good thing that Jimmy G is back in SF? How great was Johnny Football? And does a player’s choice to stay in college one more year a reflection on their ability to play at the next level?

We've said it once. We'll say it again: the best quarterbacks going into the most interesting matchups every week, and we are talking to them like we would in the quarterback room.  This is an authentic, high-level quarterback conversation.

This is The Room.

From a 17-year-old kid dreaming about playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, to being in Heinz Field for five college seasons, to now wearing the black and gold, quarterback Kenny Pickett is living the dream.

Kenny led all NFL rookies this preseason in QBR, completion percentage, and passing touchdowns. He's forcing people to start asking: what's it going to look like when this dude gets a shot in a real game?  Kenny was the first guy we interviewed who we weren't close with. We came away impressed by the University of Pittsburgh's adopted yinzer.

In the news this week, we’re talking about NFL teams with two QB1s, why Kyler Murray is now calling plays, our reactions to the NFL Top 100 list, and what we think of the QB Betrayal Index. And we’re taking a look at Jake Paul’s new sports betting venture and our fighting styles in Throw It Deep or Check It Down.

If you're new here, welcome. We are talking with the best quarterbacks going into the most interesting matchups every week, and we are talking to them like we would in the quarterback room.
