Rodolfo Alfonso Raffaello Pierre Filiberto Guglielmi di Valentina d'Antonguolla (May 6, 1895 – August 23, 1926), known professionally as Rudolph Valentino and nicknamed The Latin Lover, was an Italian actor based in the United States who starred in several well-known silent films including The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, The Sheik, Blood and Sand, The Eagle, and The Son of the Sheik.

Valentino was a sex symbol of the 1920s, known in Hollywood as the "Latin Lover" (a title invented for him by Hollywood moguls), the "Great Lover", or simply Valentino.[1] His early death at the age of 31 caused mass hysteria among his fans, further cementing his place in early cinematic history as a cultural film icon.

Cheesecake is a sweet dessert consisting of one or more layers. The main, and thickest, layer consists of a mixture of a soft, fresh cheese (typically cottage cheese, cream cheese or ricotta), eggs, and sugar. If there is a bottom layer, it most often consists of a crust or base made from crushed cookies (or digestive biscuits), graham crackers, pastry, or sometimes sponge cake.[1] Cheesecake may be baked or unbaked (and is usually refrigerated).

Cheesecake is usually sweetened with sugar and may be flavored in different ways. Vanilla, spices, lemon, chocolate, pumpkin, or other flavors may be added to the main cheese layer. Additional flavors and visual appeal may be added by topping the finished dessert with fruit, whipped cream, nuts, cookies, fruit sauce, chocolate syrup, or other ingredients.

Dean Wendell Goss (born September 22, 1949 in Santa Clara, California) is an American disc jockey who has also had several announcer roles on television game shows. As a disc jockey, he has been employed by several radio stations in California, including KCBQ San Diego from 1976 to 1979 and KFRC 99.7 in San Francisco. His first announcing role was in 1985, on the second season of the 1984-86 version of Let's Make a Deal (known as The All New Let's Make a Deal), where he succeeded voice actor Brian Cummings as the show's second announcer. Hall had planned to retire at the end of the season, and had Goss host two deals in a 1986 episode in an attempt to see if a third season, with Goss hosting, would sell (it would not). Other game shows for which he has announced include Bargain Hunters and the Wink Martindale-hosted version of High Rollers both from 1987, as well as NBC's I'm Telling!, and the syndicated Slime Time. He was also a substitute announcer on the syndicated version of The $100,000 Pyramid in 1988 and 1991.

José Bernabe Reyes (born June 11, 1983) is a Dominican-American former professional baseball infielder. He played, most notably at shortstop, in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Mets, Miami Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays, and Colorado Rockies.

Reyes is a four-time MLB All-Star. He led MLB in triples in 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2011. Reyes also led the National League (NL) in stolen bases in 2005, 2006, and 2007. He was the NL batting champion in 2011. He is also the New York Mets' all-time leader in triples and stolen bases.

The New York style bagel is the original style of bagel available in the United States, originating from the Jewish community of New York City, and can trace its origins to the bagels made by the Ashkenazi Jews of Poland.

A traditional New York style is typically larger and fatter than a mass-produced bagel, or a wood-fired Montreal-style bagel. They have also grown over time, from about 3 ounces (85 g) in 1915 to 6 ounces (170 g) in 2003.[1]

A bagel and cream cheese (also known as bagel with cream cheese) is a common food pairing in American cuisine, the cuisine of New York City, and American Jewish cuisine, consisting in its basic form of a sliced bagel spread with cream cheese. The bagel with cream cheese is traditionally and most commonly served open-faced, sliced horizontally and spread with cream cheese and other toppings in the middle.[1] Beginning in the 1980s as bagels expanded in popularity beyond Jewish communities, the bagel served as a sandwich became increasingly popular for its portability. The basic bagel with cream cheese serves as the base for other items such as the "lox and schmear", a staple of delicatessens in the New York City area and across the U.S. While non-Jewish ingredients take well to bagel sandwiches, such as eggs and breakfast meats, cold cuts and sliced cheese, several traditional Jewish toppings for bagels do not work well between bagel halves, including the popular whitefish salad, pickled herring or chopped liver for the simple mechanical reason that soft toppings easily squirt out the sides when the bagel is bitten, as even a fresh bagel is firmer than most breads.

Betty Marion White Ludden (January 17, 1922 – December 31, 2021) was an American actress and comedian.[1][2] A pioneer of early television, with a career spanning seven decades, White was noted for her vast work in the entertainment industry. She was among the first women to exert control in front of and behind the camera[3] and the first woman to produce a sitcom (Life with Elizabeth),[4] which contributed to her being named honorary Mayor of Hollywood in 1955.[5] White is often referred to as the "First Lady of Television", a title used for a 2018 documentary detailing her life and career.[6][7]

White worked longer in television than anyone else in that medium, earning her a Guinness World Record in 2018.[9][10][11] White received eight Emmy Awards in various categories, three American Comedy Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Grammy Award.[12] She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and was a 1995 Television Hall of Fame inductee.

Pierino Ronald "Perry" Como (/ˈkoʊmoʊ/; May 18, 1912 – May 12, 2001) was an American singer, actor and television personality. During a career spanning more than half a century, he recorded exclusively for RCA Victor for 44 years, after signing with the label in 1943.[1]

He recorded primarily vocal pop and was renowned for recordings in the intimate, easy-listening genre pioneered by multi-media star Bing Crosby.[2]

"Mr. C.", as he was nicknamed, sold millions of records and pioneered a weekly musical variety television show. His weekly television shows and seasonal specials were broadcast throughout the world. In the official RCA Records Billboard magazine memorial, his life was summed up in these few words: "50 years of music and a life well lived. An example to all."[3]

Como received five Emmys from 1955 to 1959,[4] a Christopher Award (1956) and shared a Peabody Award with good friend Jackie Gleason in 1956.[5][6] He was inducted into the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame in 1990 and received a Kennedy Center Honor in 1987.[7][8][9] Posthumously, Como received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002 and was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2006.[10] He has the distinction of having three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his work in radio, television, and music.[11]

She was also a film and television director (such as of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, on which she also made several guest appearances). During her five-decade-long career, she may be best remembered for her long-running roles as Mildred on McMillan & Wife and Ida Morgenstern, who first appeared on several episodes of The Mary Tyler Moore Show and later became a prominent recurring character on the spinoff series Rhoda.

Mister Softee, Inc. was founded in 1956 in Philadelphia, PA by brothers William Aloysius Conway (1922–2004) and James Francis Conway (1927–2006).[1][2] Headquartered in Runnemede, New Jersey since 1958, Mister Softee became one of the largest franchisors of soft ice cream in the United States, with about 350 franchisees operating 625 trucks in 18 states. Around 1999, William and James' sons, John P. Conway and Jim Conway, Jr., took over the business.[3]
