Hasbro is officially teaming up with Upper Deck — and some LEGENDARY franchises are coming to the trading card hobby! 👀🔥
On today’s Quiet Card Daily, we’re breaking down the new Hasbro x Upper Deck partnership that will bring Transformers, Power Rangers, G.I. Joe and more classic franchises into new trading card and collectible products.
The first major release will celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie with a special commemorative trading card set — but that could only be the beginning.
We’re talking about:
🔥 Transformers entering the hobby in a bigger way ⚡ Power Rangers trading card potential 💥 G.I. Joe and other classic Hasbro franchises 🃏 What Upper Deck could do with autos, parallels, inserts & chase cards 💰 Could nostalgia become another major collectible market? 👀 And which Hasbro franchise NEEDS its own premium card set?
For collectors who grew up with these characters, this partnership could get VERY interesting.
QUESTION OF THE DAY: If you could collect ONE — Transformers, Power Rangers or G.I. Joe — which are you buying first?

TAKE SOME PROFITS, PEOPLE… COME ON! 😂
On this episode of The Quiet Card Podcast, we’re talking about something collectors sometimes forget to do — TAKE THE PROFIT! 😂 If a card is up, the market is hot, and you’ve got a chance to make some money… you don’t always have to hold it forever!
We break down our experience at Charlotte Collect-A-Con, plus talk about just how BIG the Huntsville TCG show has become and what that could mean for the card and TCG scene in Alabama.
⚾ Shohei Ohtani is back in the conversation, because at this point our strategy is pretty simple: KEEP BUYING OHTANI. We talk about why we still like his collectibles long-term and what we’re looking for.
🎤 Then things get a little different as we jump into the world of K-Pop! We break down some of the different K-Pop groups, the massive collector culture surrounding them, and Topps entering the K-Pop card market with a new card series. Could K-Pop become another major lane in the trading card hobby?
In this episode:
If you collect sports cards, Pokémon, TCG, entertainment cards, or anything in between, you already know how we do it.

Not every event with cards is a sports card show — and I think a lot of collectors find that out the hard way.
On today’s episode of Quiet Card Daily, we’re breaking down the difference between a traditional sports card show and events like Collect-A-Con, TCG conventions, and other “Con”-style collectible events.
They can ALL be great events — but you're going for two very different experiences.
If you walk into a Collect-A-Con expecting rows and rows of baseball, basketball, football, and high-end sports cards, you might leave wondering:
“Where are all the SPORTS CARDS?!” 😂
That’s because conventions tend to have a much broader focus: Pokémon, One Piece, Magic, anime, Funko, toys, gaming, celebrities, cosplay, vendors, activities, and plenty of other collectibles.
Meanwhile, a traditional sports card show is usually much more focused on one thing:
BUY. SELL. TRADE. SPORTS CARDS. 💰
On today’s show, we're talking about what you should expect from each type of event, why the distinction matters, and why collectors need to understand what they're buying a ticket for before they go.
TODAY'S TOPICS: Sports card shows vs. TCG conventions, what Collect-A-Con actually offers, why “sports cards” being advertised doesn't necessarily make something a sports card show, which event is better for buying/selling/trading, and how to decide which experience is right for you.
💬 QUESTION OF THE DAY: If you could only attend ONE — a huge sports card show or a huge Collect-A-Con/TCG convention — which are you choosing?

This might be one of the smartest moves we've seen from an auction house. 👀
On today's Quiet Card Daily, we're talking about the massive Cooper Flagg 1-of-1 Rookie Chicago Patch Auto — and the crazy strategy ALT is using to try to land the card.
Here's the interesting part:
The owner hasn't even decided where the card is going yet.
But ALT isn't waiting.
They're essentially putting the market on display and saying:
💰 “Here's what buyers are willing to pay.” 🔥 “The money is already here.” 📈 “Here's the market for your card.” 🤝 “Now bring the card to us.”
With the number sitting around $3.1 MILLION, ALT is getting in front of the other auction houses before the owner has even officially chosen where to consign the card.
And THAT'S what we're discussing today.
Is this simply marketing? Is it a brilliant way to recruit a monster consignment? And could this change how auction houses compete for the biggest cards in the hobby?
TODAY'S TOPICS:
🏀 Cooper Flagg's incredible 1/1 Rookie Chicago Patch Auto 💰 The $3.1M+ number being displayed by ALT 🤯 How can you auction a card you don't physically have yet? 🧠 Why ALT's strategy might actually be genius ⚔️ The battle between auction houses for major consignments 📈 What this could tell the owner about the card's market 💵 How much could the card ultimately sell for?
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
If you owned the Cooper Flagg 1/1 and saw $3.1 MILLION already sitting there — would that convince YOU to choose ALT?

👋 Russell Westbrook is RETIRING! We’re looking back at the career of one of the most explosive and unique point guards we've ever seen — and, because this is Quiet Card Daily, we have to ask what retirement could mean for the Westbrook card market.
TODAY’S TOPICS:

On today’s Quiet Card Daily, we’re talking about the massive Cooper Flagg pull, what a card like this could mean for the hobby, the hype surrounding Flagg, and the BIG question: What could this thing actually be worth?! 💰🏀

We also need to talk about the rising cost of attending sports card shows.

Has Whatnot gotten too big for the average sports card seller?
On today’s episode of Quiet Card Daily, we’re talking about what it feels like trying to sell on Whatnot when the bigger breakers, shops, and established sellers are dominating the platform.
If you’re somebody trying to move $1 cards, low-end singles, small lots, or just build your name as a seller, is Whatnot still the best place to do it? Or are there better options now?
We’re breaking down:
This isn’t about saying Whatnot is bad — it’s about asking whether the platform still works the same way for the everyday collector trying to sell cards.
💬 Question of the day: If you couldn’t sell on Whatnot anymore, where would you sell your cards?
