  • Episode 141 - A Conversation with Lee Martin (Elite RC Racing Driver)
Episode 141 is a conversation with elite RC racing driver Lee Martin. One of the top drivers in the world, we discuss how he got into the sport, his 20+ year career, the incredible engineering that goes into the cars and where the sport is going in the future.
These are not the typical RC cars you might have gotten for Christmas as a kid. Reaching speeds up to 50mph, RC racing is highly competitive, dynamic and exciting for drivers and spectators alike.
I've become fascinated with the precision and engineering of these scaled-down race cars and I'm sure you will be too. It was a really good conversation and Lee is a great guy. Stay tuned for part 2 when I'll be giving these rockets a go on location.
    Enjoy!

  • Episode 140 - Orwell's Warning (1984 in 2020)
With only days until the 2020 Presidential Election, episode 140 looks at the increased attack on free speech and censorship by social media in favour of the Democratic party. We discuss why these tactics and the antics of groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter make Donald Trump the preferred choice for many Americans and why it may ultimately lead to his reelection.
We also look at the continued destruction of our financial and mental health due to the incompetent handling of COVID in the U.K. and why the Conservative government continues to miss the mark with all the policies it implements to help resolve this pandemic.
Finally, we introduce a new segment called "The QPL of the Week" where we highlight one example of someone saying The Quiet Part Loud. In the first instalment, we look at Jane Fonda's recent interview where she says "Covid is God's gift to the left" referring to the 200,000+ deaths being favourable to the Democrats defeating Donald Trump in the upcoming election and how reprehensible that statement really is.

  • Episode 139 - The Rules Of Play Have Changed
Back with a solo episode this week, we're talking about returning to work across the U.K. as a second wave of Covid-19 seems inevitable.
We reflect on the state of public transportation in London, the lack of masks being used, despite being compulsory, and the indignation of people to follow simple instructions that benefit the wider community.
Going deeper, we look at how the ignorance of this behaviour will impact all of us, but those that are actively disregarding the safety measures will be hurt the most, both physically and financially. We analyse the impending fallout of these actions from an employment and economic recovery standpoint along with the correlation of those refusing to practise proper mask-wearing being worst affected.
Finally, we call out the government for their continued incompetence along with the businesses displaying corporate greed and no regard for their employee's wellbeing.
    Enjoy.

  • Episode 138 - The N.B.A. & China with Brooke Daye
Today's episode is a timely and topical conversation about the escalating audacity of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and how western companies seem less interested in their blatant human rights violations when it directly impacts their financial health.
We look specifically at the NBA, an organisation that attempts to be the arbiter of morality and social justice issues in America, but who folded to the will of the CCP at the slightest hint of disapproval from Beijing surrounding comments relating to the Hong Kong protests.
We discuss the role of the NBA, it's players and how they conveniently trade morality for monetary gain when the cause is difficult or untrendy. The contrast between their Black Lives Matters stance and the genocide happening to the Quigher population is stark and telling about how committed they are to real activism vs the appearance of action.
Brooke and I had a really interesting discussion that shines a light on what many know and even more choose to ignore; the fact that corporations will say what's required to stay in popular favour domestically and ruffle no feathers to expand globally even if it means turning a blind eye to even more severe atrocities than those that seem like priority one at home.

  • Episode 137 - The Court of Public Opinion Will Convict Us All
After a couple of weeks away, today's podcast catches up on what we've missed. In this episode, we discuss allegations vs action and why you should always reserve judgement in the absence of facts. We discuss why it's imperative that Twitter no longer be allowed the role of judge, jury and executioner and why it's most vocal users are exactly what's wrong with the court of public opinion.
We reflect on the awful disaster in Beruit as the city plunges into protest and examine a recent lesson published by BBC Bitesize about White Privilege and ask "Why is there no counter lesson to such a divisive message to our youngest and most impressionable?". Additionally, we provide some thoughts on the anti-racism push from radical progressives and why this will perpetuate the problems we see eroding our society rather than help to solve them.
Then we discuss school reopenings and the continued failure by the governments in both the US and the UK to protect its citizens, provide sound medical advice and a plan of action to get the economy working again. Finally, we look at the absurd question by the Telegraph about taxpayers bailing out Transport for London to avoid higher fares in the future and why we'll get stuck with both.

  • Episode 136 - If You're Mad, Get Mad!
Today's episode we take a look back at the past couple of week's events.
We're discussing the ongoing mishandling of the COVID pandemic by the UK and US governments, and how their complete incompetence continues to endanger our health and financial future.
We look at the Black Lives Matter protests to distinguish between the movement and the organisation that has hijacked a progressive cause for its own political ideologies which are rooted in the very behaviour they claim to be fighting against.
Then we talk Kanye for President and Unity 2020, which is a political movement that has the goal of shaking up the political structure and how Americans choose their leadership.
Be warned, this episode is a heated monologue of frustration and honesty about how political appointees and what we must do to hold them accountable. We don't hold back on the language, so if cursing offends you, perhaps you want to give this one a miss. If not, enjoy.

  • Episode 135 - A Conversation With Lee Chambers (Environmental Psychologist)
Today we sit down with Lee Chambers, Founder of Essentialise to discuss mental health, wellbeing and stress management. COVID and the subsequent lockdown have caused all of us to experience some form of anxiety and new types of stress. It's important to understand that we're not alone and to see that there are tangible ways to deal with unforeseen circumstances that may be hard to navigate on our own.
We discuss Lee's own life struggles and how he found strength and resilience to fight against an autoimmune disease that caused him to lose the ability to walk before the arrival of his newborn baby, and how that experience gave him the confidence to start his own business helping others.
Lee is a genuinely kind person that truly cares about the wellbeing of all others, he puts that into practice every day and it was a pleasure to speak with him.
I hope you enjoy the show and if you'd like to find out more about Lee and his company, please check out the links below.

  • Episode 134 - BLM
As we seem to be a watershed moment in our history with race relations, I wanted to take the opportunity to speak about the Black Lives Matter protests and some of the context and nuance missing from the conversation and from the activists.
There are more caveats in this episode than I ever thought possible but with such a sensitive topic that I've only been an observer of, I felt it important to be as clear as possible.
With all the hate and fear-mongering going on, I hope this episode will highlight that most of us are striving towards a similar goal in life and what we really need is dialogue and direction.
    Enjoy.

  • Episode 132 - A Conversation with "The Iron Wolf" (US Marine - Art Shvartsberg)
In today's episode, I sit down with Art Svartsberg; a US Marine who is best known as The Iron Wolf. He is becoming synonymous with some of the most hardcore workouts on Youtube and is famous for his impressive feats of endurance.
We spoke about his family immigrating from Russia, growing up in Brooklyn and how assimilating got him into trouble. We talked about the path that led him to join the Marine Corp and how his life has changed after 14 years of service. He brings to life the ethos of Iron Wolf fitness and we discuss what life after the military will look like.
Art is as authentic as it gets, there's no smoke and mirrors in anything he does. What you see is what you get and his style uniquely his own. We had a great conversation that included 90's hip hop, movies and sport. I hope you enjoy it.
