With the June Democratic primary just seven weeks away, mayoral candidate and political newcomer Dianne Morales joined Errol to discuss what’s motivating her to run for mayor, including her journey through the city’s public schools to her first job in the child welfare system and eventually running nonprofits. She talked about the role that nonprofit organizations would play in a Morales administration, and as a former public school teacher, she discussed what needs to be done to fix the city’s schools.
And after receiving millions in matching funds and securing some progressive support, she talked about her campaign gaining momentum and weighed in on getting the attention of young city voters.
