Before Rollo, Roosh or Roissy there was Pook.
Back in 2001-2002 on the SoSuave forum there was an anonymous member who went by the name of Pook. By 2004 Pook had turned into an enigma on that forum, and later in what would be known as the Red Pill community. Then he vanished.
Before Pook erased himself from internet existence he left behind some of the most foundational Red Pill ideas that have developed into many of the concepts we take for granted in what's become the Manosphere.
For many Pook's style was too prosaic. He had a flair for the poetic and his most well-read threads were Aphorisms and parables. This added to his mystic persona, but a lot of the very literalist readers in the forum then, and the Red Pill community on whole don't have the patience to decipher what Pook's message really was.
Most of the Manosphere today have no idea who Pook was or what he contributed to our discourse today.
Today Pat and I will explore:
• Who exactly is Pook and why should we care?
• What are the founding ideas he introduced?
• Why is Pook an important part of understanding the Red Pill?
• Most people who call themselves Red Pill, MGTOW, PUAs, MRAs, etc. don't have any idea how their 'movements' came into being. Why is understanding the history of Red Pill praxeology necessary to fully grasp how these factions came about?
