The end has finally come and I was ready for it. Three weeks of vacation can take a lot out of you and can lead to a lot of thumb twiddling, but I managed to stay busy. Not to mention, the return to Bahrain had its moments. An in depth review of Lizzo’s new album “Cuz I Love You.” Funny, talented, quirky and sexy, Lizzo takes us on a trip you can’t help but enjoy. An up beat album that showcased both her soulful diva and wordsmith rapper side. 11 tracks with minimal features, except for a banger with Missy Elliott and a Gucci Mane bomb, she was on full display for my ears to take her all the way in. I’m hoping “Juice” and the rest of this album will put her on the map and allow others to enjoy her unique style. An in depth review of the throw back soul group Durand Jones and the Indications new album “American Love Call.” For the past 3 weeks I have been enamored with the music that I’ve heard from this group. From the angelic falsetto of Aaron Frazer, the harmonies of the band and the powerful vocals of Mr. Jones this group has taken me back in a time machine to a simpler time where Love and Life were the only things on the musical menu.
