This week I interview Molly Acharya. In her own words she is a Head of RE, Teaching & Learning Coach, Teacher of Politics and Citizenship, Examiner at GCSE and A Level, Mum of Twin Mischief Makers.  As a Hindu she gives some valuable advice about the misconceptions of Santana Dharma and how best to teach things like the Caste System and Trimurti. It's a challenge to us about how we teach it.

A wonderful charity that Molly is involved in. https://www.facebook.com/robandhisangels/

In this weeks episode we hear the second part of my interview the Rev. Steve Chalke MBE.  Baptist minister and social activist. He was awarded his MBE for his charity work.  He is the founder of Oasis Charitable Trust, a former UN special advisor on Human Traffiking and founder of the 'Stop The Traffik' campaign and founder of Oasis Community Learning.  This week we talk about the ideas he has that are controversial in the Christian Community - his belief that a God of love would not send the people he has made to hell.  He also gives us some final thoughts and words of wisdom.
This man gives me hope!

Welcome to 2021!  To start off a new year and a new Season for the RE podcast, we explore whether there is life after death.  We consider it as the first religious belief for which we have evidence.  We look at the variety of religious beliefs through history and within the biggest religions in the world, plus consider evidence for it.  We also take a look at the idea of a SOUL - what is the SOUL and is the evidence for them?

In this final episode of the season we take a look at the Christmas Story.  What does the Bible actually say about the birth of Jesus and what does it all mean?  There will be some surprises as the story you think you know may be very different from the one you have learnt from school.
