The Reading Glass

Available on YouTube, Spotify, & Apple!

It’s finally time for Zodiac Academy, and somehow this episode became one of the most chaotic we’ve recorded so far.

Along the way, Dylan discovered he apparently has magical powers. Unfortunately, those powers seem to be limited to making books fly across the room… usually in Bekka’s direction.

We dive into the world of Zodiac Academy, discuss all the drama, magic, romance, and absolutely unhinged moments that had us laughing, yelling, and questioning our sanity.

Trust us, emotions are all over the place in this one. One minute we’re having a serious discussion, and the next we’re completely losing control of the conversation.

As always, expect spoilers, strong opinions, questionable life choices, and enough banter to make you feel like you’re sitting in the room with us.

If you’ve already fallen into the Zodiac Academy rabbit hole, grab a glass and join us. If you haven’t, consider this your official warning before the stars ruin your life too.

You may need a protective shield, a magical ward, or at the very least a helmet if Dylan starts throwing books again.

Join us in this episode of the Reading Glass as we dive into the Wicked Games Series by Kaylie Smith which includes only Phantasma and Enchanter for this episode, as the 3rd book in the series comes out later this year in December!

Bekka gets thrown in book brig, because Dylan has a lot to say about these books to her. Yet he loved them all the same..

Please do not watch this episode if you are religious and talks of demons or devils rubs you the wrong way and you get easily offended about talking about going to hell and being in a hell realm.

We highly suggest to just skip this episode and not read the books, if that is the case.. but if you don’t mind these things and like to talk about games like the Hunger Games or the Serpent in the Night, this may be an episode you don’t want to miss.

Bring out a glass of wine and sip with us!

Our next deep dive goes to the Death Cast Series by Adam Silvera. This is our first uncompleted series we are doing, and we kind of question to read again for how hard the 3rd books hits you with all the emotions..

This was the longest and hardest episode to film and edit yet!

Trust us, we get deep & emotions are all over the place in this one.

Please remember if you watch/listen to this episode, it does have a list of trigger warning that we do talk about thoroughly before we dive into sipping about the series!

We also bring it up again before talking about the last book as it is the heaviest of them all.

You’re gonna need a tall glass or even bottle… of wine this time with us.

We are back in the arena for this episode! We are sipping it back to the next 2 books in the Hunger Games Series with Catching Fire and Mockingjay!

We definitely did not remember a lot that happens in these books to where it felt like we were reading a new book, but reading it as an adult compared to being a teenager is definitely refreshing of a twist for us.

Of course, we are adding Dylans babies and he supposedly has a new daddy in this episode.

We get off topic a lot, and distracted as our wine had notes of soy sauce in it, but at least this one is under an hour!

We are talking about the last two books in The Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy in this episode! We are wrapping this series up and putting a giant bow on top of it! We sipping about book 5 & 6 Gold & Goldfinch. This is another long and crazy episode we go into! There is so much that happens in these last two books that it is super hard NOT to talk about for us.

Please note that this book series is not for anyone under 18 years of age. This is even listed in the very beginning of each book with a list of trigger warnings as well. This podcast episode also might be a little rated R in sections of this episode as well….

This episode we go ALL in, we are unfiltered, unapologetically. We are talking about book 3 & 4 Gleam & Glow in the Plated Prisoner Series by Raven Kennedy.

We really dive in cover to cover in this episode, so if you haven't read it and want to read it, we highly suggest not to go into the spoilery section, as there is ALOT that happens that we clearly needed to talk about in our longest episode yet!

Sip and enjoy the banter with us on the longest books of this series!

In this episode of The Reading Glass, we get into the Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy. This series will be divided into 3 different episodes, as they are that important to talk about! We dive into book 1 & 2 Gild & Glint.

Please note that this book series is not for anyone under 18 years of age. This is even listed in the very beginning of each book with a list of trigger warnings as well.

We don't hold back in this episode, someone let us know how many times Dylan tells Bekka that he hates her!

In this episode of The Reading Glass, we are sipping it back! We are doing this series every 4 episodes to the throw backs that got us into reading in the first place growing up. Up first, we are starting with The Hunger Games! Come sip and hear about how nostalgic this book was for us to reread!

In this episode of The Reading Glass, we dive into the Caraval Series by Stephanie Garber. This includes: Caraval, Legendary, Finale, & the 3.5 book Spectacular.

Join us to sip about this YA triology about a magical carnival that reminds us of a giant escape room on crack.

In this episode of The Reading Glass, we dive into Heartless Hunter & Rebel Witch (The Crimson Moth Duology) by Kristen Ciccarelli. Join us to sip about this YA duology between a witch and a hunter in their enemy to lover dynamic!
