On November 13, 1974, six members of the seven member DeFeo family household are found murdered in their beds. The prime, and almost immediate suspect, is the sole survivor of this household, Ronnie "Butch" DeFeo, Jr. He is eventually tried and convicted of the murders of his parents, Ronnie Sr. and Louise, and his 4 younger siblings, 18 year old Dawn, 13 year old Allison, 12 year old Marc, and 9 year old John. This is the true crime story that often gets lost behind the media whirlwind regarding the blockbuster movies made about the "Amityville Horror House."
