Relive the magic of 4 channels, the broom cupboard, and the joy of discovering your next favorite cartoon.

From smoky arcades to my first Atari 2600 and beyond, I look back at how games were meant to be seen — on CRTs. I compare the warm glow of scanlines to the sharp, blocky pixels of modern TVs, explore upscalers like the OSSC and RetroTINK, and share stories of Sega World, PVMs, and finally owning my own arcade cab.

Is it all nostalgia, or do CRTs really make retro games shine? Let’s get to da choppa and find out.
