FF: Property and Education Priorities

The Fed has lowered rates a quarter of a percent. Inflation is over 3% from the government's own measurements. Home prices are up, and property taxes are making it impossible for some people to keep their home. We have been working to get signatures to get a constitutional amendment on the Ohio ballot to get rid of property taxes completely. This could keep people in their homes and lower rents.  

"But how will we fund schools?" they say. We talk about some possible options for funding. We also review the terrible results the traditional school system has been getting. We talk about how some money is being wasted by school systems. How much does a teacher here really make per hour? What do administrators make? Is it worth people losing their homes so that schools can continue to get terrible results? Or is it time for zero property taxes and a new system to fund schools based on results?

Commodity Money or "Comedy Money"?

While the stock market is not down in dollar terms, it is down 38% in gold. Central bank holdings of gold have not only surpassed the Euro but has now also passed up the U.S. Dollar. There is a market in Venezuela where everything is priced in gold and customers pay with gold flakes on scales. You can't afford to ignore the changes that are occurring around the world with gold and silver. People today are accepting a lower standard of living than they did just 15 years ago because the dollar is buying so much less. If you want a better life, you need to learn the difference between Commodity Money like gold or silver and the "Comedy Money" that is our currency. Then, go buy more hard assets faster!

Joel Litman - The U.S. Has a Rosy Future

Joel explains how even though the federal government has been irresponsible with spending, the U.S. has enough assets to offset the current debt. He talks about how the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and the grievance section of the Declaration of Independence is responsible for the success of this country. We talk about government regulation, taxes, and entrepreneurship. Countries like Singapore have already figured out lower tax rates can help businesses grow and produce more, which leads to more tax revenue and more jobs/income for citizens. Why do we tax production and expect people to work more? We should tax consumption and let people choose if they want to spend their money. This episode is packed with great information, data, and history! The good news is, despite the fact that Gen Z doesn't think they'll do better than their parents, the economy in the U.S. is showing a rosy future here! If other countries emulate our bill of rights and protection of private property, they can prosper right along with us!
