What are you willing to do?
People always say they want more time, money, fun… And then they do the same things they have always done hoping for different results.
Today the Real Power Family discusses how they define a starting point and clearly set goals for every area of their life. If you want different results you must do new things. They will probably be uncomfortable. That is how you know you are growing.

Making Learning Fun
If your kids don’t want to learn what you are teaching them, make it more fun. Question why they really need to know the traditional book knowledge. If you have never used something you were forced to learn, why are you forcing your kids to learn it? Where will they use it? Why not focus on teaching how to learn rather than memorizing things in text books that never helped you in life?

What is Education?
Eric, Lila & Deven discuss how to make learning fun. True education is not just learning what someone tells you to learn. It is learning HOW to learn. We can never tell our kids exactly what they will need to know in the future. The best thing we can do for them is to give them a love of learning.
If education is fun they will continue to learn for the rest of their lives. If it is boring, or a bad experience, they are likely to resent learning in the future. That guarantees they will stay stuck where they are.

Tonja Henderson turned a terrible situation into a great life. After finding people who became her support team she overcame her childhood abuse. From this awful time in her live she developed a mindset that has allowed her to overcome every obstacle she encounters. She decided she had to “Give up or Get Up.”
Tonya & her husband thought that family was the most important part of their life. When they decided to have children, she chose to give up her job (she was the bread winner at the time.) They lived on the small stipend he made as a grad student. She credits their survival with so little money on tithing. Yes, they continued to give when they couldn’t buy food for themselves… and somehow it always worked out.
When her husband’s company wanted them to relocate to China, he decided to walk away from the secure job & start a business. When they sold their house & made some money they chose to buy a smaller house and used the money they had left to buy a rental. Now they have 6 successful children, multiple rentals across many states, a nutrition business and a great family that travels together.

He spent time in central America and was here for the hurricane Katrina and the Ferguson Riots during his 26-year career. Aaron Woolf & Atlas Menswear-Solving Problems
Today Aaron talks about how he went from the Air Force to the NSA. After 9-11he got a sales/mortgage job and ended up in regional management for a large corporation with good pay and benefits. He walked away from all of that one day to follow his dreams.
He bought a few rentals & started a contracting company to pay the bills. Then, just because he could not find a dress shirt to fit his body shape (he is a body builder) he designed his own. After he had a design, he still had to learn about patterns, materials, marketing production and distribution. His path is a lot like many others. When it seems like you are bouncing around for no reason, you may just be learning the skills you need for your next adventure.
