🔥 We delved into the profound reasons behind why she started her business, discussing the power of breaking generational cycles and how, as survivors of traumatic experiences, we are dedicated to changing the narrative.

🔥 Jayde has a business called Mama Whānau and is a certified Hypnobirthing New Zealand/Australia Practitioner who lives in the beautiful city of Ōtautahi - Christchurch.   “I’ve always felt my soul-aligned purpose on earth was to help people. It wasn’t until I went through the birth of our son that I felt a strong pull to work with women during their pregnancies, birth and postpartum stages.  Through my own pregnancy and postpartum experience, I have found my calling in teaching birth education, supporting mamas in The Golden Month, and becoming a women’s health massage therapist specialising in fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum massage”

 For a long time Flo has held her story close to her heart, for fear of the impacts of sharing, but she has realised her story needs to be heard in order to make an impact and potentially help others who may be going through a similar journey.

 In life, Flo has experienced some toxic relationships, domestic violence and significant trauma.  She has used these life experiences as fuel to drive her passion for helping and providing tools for our wāhine their whānau, and our wider community to feel supported.

🔥  Dallas is a health and well-being coach who specialises in addictions.  He speaks openly and truthfully highlighting his experiences in adversities and how he overcame them. He is also a mental health advocate who understands the importance of being aware of the challenges that happen in everyday life. His passion is helping rangatahi to tap into their own strengths and skill set to make a positive impact in their lives.

This lady has a passion for living life to the fullest, and taking on a challenge, one of them being telling her story publicly to us all. Suffering from a brain injury after falling off her bike, she shares the highs and lows and how she navigated her new life after exiting her long term, very successful career in the banking industry.

Starting her business, and pivoting during Covid, Jules is an inspiration to many.

It is my honour to share this kōrero from Natalie Bryan who bravely took the stage at our Your Story event in Porirua.

Living a life of removing masks, riding the waves of depression and anxiety hasn’t been easy, in fact being in such a dark place several times over and doing the hard mahi to rebuild and find her calling has been beyond amazing.

Natalie is a woman of many talents, the Author and Illustrator of JC The Bumble Bee with APD. An ICF Trained Life Coach, Director with her husband of their Commercial Tiling business, Mother of two and lifestyle block owner in Pauatahanui Porirua.

Like the waves that crash, and the tides that come in and go out, the sun sets and rises again tomorrow. Her mantra that keeps her going is - ‘You need a certain darkness to be able to see the stars’.
