He is a behavioral health administrator and clinician who has held positions of senior leadership in both the public and private sectors. Dr Keane has worked in many behavioral health hospitals, community mental health, government, and higher education. For five years, Dr. Keane was the Regional Director for Boston at the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership (MBHP), the behavioral health carve out for Medicaid at a critical juncture in healthcare funding in Massachusetts. He then served for four years as a Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Mental Health, where he led innovative projects that enhanced the behavioral health system.
