As we enter the Christmas season, today’s devotional reminds us that Christmas is more than the celebration of a baby’s birth, it is the celebration of our Savior. In John 14:6, Jesus declares that He is “the way, the truth, and the life,” revealing why His birth mattered so deeply. Christmas had to happen so that Easter could happen. Jesus came from heaven to earth, took on human flesh, and lived among us so that He could die in our place and make a way for us to be reconciled to God. Christmas is the celebration of the Savior we needed, who came to give us life.
