Not too many critiques were given in this discussion, as both Donnie and Oscar loved the film for its creative visuals, exciting storyline and unforgettable characters (including a superb introduction to the character Miles Morales.) In episode 103 of "The Reel-ists Podcast", Donnie and Oscar discuss Clint Eastwood's newest film "The Mule". Perhaps the anticipation might have been a little too high, being that the guys felt this film was a bit "anticlimactic" to say the least. However, both acknowledged the Clint Eastwood delivered a solid performance which was the main driving force for this film. Another point Oscar and Donnie bring up is the star studded cast, which both agreed didn't do much for the film overall. Despite not seeing all the movies yet, Oscar and Donnie make their best decisions about who will win and who they think deserves to! They also discuss some movies and actors that were snubbed from a nomination! Check out how they think this year's Golden Globes will turn out!

In Episode 97 of "The Reel-ists Podcast" , Oscar and Donnie discuss the film "Green Book", inspired by the real life friendship between Don Shirley and Tony Lip in the 1960's. All three members of the podcast (including producer Ruben) thought the film was a well told story of an unlikely friendship that blossomed in the face of uncertain circumstances. Oscar appreciated the realism of the the film, specifically for the time period the movie reflected. Donnie really liked the overall message of the film and felt satisfied and gratified with the development of the characters. Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali gave superb performances that hopefully garner many nominations this award season!

Episode 98 might be a "Favourite" for Team Reel-ists, if only for the reason that the film "The Favourite" is reviewed! Three strong performances were definitely the driving force for this time period dramedy, with Olivia Colman, Rachel Weisz and Emma Stone delivering memorable performances. However, Oscar and Donnie do share their thoughts on the claim that this was Stone's best performance to date. In addition, Oscar discusses the confusion regarding certain scenes (not knowing if a scene was suppose to be comical or not.) Donnie addresses the 180 degree turn on his views of characters Abigail (Stone) and Sarah (Weisz). Listen to hear what else the guys had to say about "The Favourite".

It may have taken years for us to join Ralph and Vanellope again but we won't make you wait that long for our review of "Ralph Breaks the Internet" in Episode 95! The sequel manages to keep the same spirit as the first movie while still introducing the internet in the world of Wreck it Ralph. The guys enjoyed going on this adventure with the main characters despite the plot having some questionable choices. The cameos this movie provides are very original and had a major impact on this movie. Find out if this movie manages to surpass the original and hear the "Reel" score that the guys give the sequel!

Are you ready to rumble? If not that's okay, we got you covered in this review of "Creed II" in Episode 96! Rarely do sequels surpass the original but this movie manages to deliver in many aspects. The guys did find this movie to be predicable, which removes any real tension or surprises, yet that did not take away the enjoyment of the story. This movie is a solid entry if not better than most! Tune in to this episode to see if either of "The Reel-ists" give this movie a perfect "Reel" score!

In episode 93 of "The Reel-ists Podcast", Oscar and Donnie discuss Steve McQueens newest film "Widows". Viola Davis leads an incredible star studded cast and delivers yet another career defining performance. The guys loved the film for its great performances, layered plot and surprise twists. Although, both agreed that a little reshuffling could have been done with the order of scenes to maximize the affect of the films major twist. However, this movie goes down as a 2018 favorite for the guys!
