Awards have been given and reactions have been made so tune in to Episode 123 for a special episode about the 91st Academy Awards! While still long in run-time, the award show managed to remain enjoyable. The guys explore some of those highlights as well as their reaction to some of the winners.

Oscar and Donnie explore the possible conclusion to this franchise with their reactions to the plot and characters. They believe that this movie manages to put a nice end to the franchise despite some flaws such as the villain and short attention to the Hidden World. You get 2 for the price of 1 in episode 121 of The Reel-ists Podcast! The guys start this episode with their review of "Happy Death Day 2 U", the sequel to 2017's "Happy Death Day". Oscar and Donnie both agreed that this film took a different approach and attempted to make it more comedic and fun, slightly veering away from the suspense and introducing more of a sci-fi element. While it was not enjoyed as much as the first film, the duo felt it was a good second installment and discusses if they would like to see a third. Oscar and Donnie also briefly share their thoughts and reel scores on "Isn't It Romantic", Rebel Wilson's newest Rom-Com. Check out episode 121 to hear their thoughts on both films!

In episode 120 of The Reel-ists Podcast, Oscar and Donnie discuss the film "Alita: Battle Angel". Both agreed that the films CGI and visuals were very impressive, and that the world that was created was an achievement and highlight for the film. Also, the guys noted that the main character Alita was a true heroine that was inspiring and captivating to watch. However, both Donnie and Oscar felt that some of the other characters were not developed as well as they could have been, and used big name actors for roles that were so minimal that it almost seemed unnecessary. If everything is awesome then that must mean you already listened to our review for "The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part" on Episode 119! Oscar and Donnie enjoyed this sequel more than the original due to the story being able to have a bigger focus with more creative music. The cast, both new and old, manage to keep the energy and story interesting allowing the message and themes to be delivered well. Check out the "Reel" score for this movie at the end of the episode!

Time for another "Reel Rewind"! In episode 117 of The Reel-ists Podcast, Oscar and Donnie take a look back on the Disney sports drama "Remember The Titans" starring Denzel Washington. Both guys noted that this film told a very important story, and even though the presence of the sport itself was not as dominant as in other sports films, it was still powerful and moving. Donnie and Oscar discuss some memorable moments from the film and what makes this movie a true winner. We will always remember The Titans!

In episode 116 of The Reel-ists Podcast, the film "Miss Bala" is discussed. Both Oscar and Donnie agreed that Gina Rodriguez delivered a strong performance and that the film overall was engaging and entertaining. Oscar and Donnie both found this movie to be a beautiful story with excellent cinematography that provides an authentic look at life in Mexico during the 1970s. The guys explore the characters in the movie and the performances for the two actresses who were nominated. Netflix and chill? ...Well it's about time! For the first time ever, Oscar and Donnie discuss a Netflix Original in episode 114! "Bird Box" is what everyone has been talking about over the past few weeks, and with good reason! Sandra Bullock as "Malorie" is layered and complex in all the right ways. Oscar and Donnie discuss what they loved about the film, including all the suspenseful and nerve ending moments in the movie. However, the guys are on opposite sides of the debate in regards to if the evil entity should have been shown in the film or not.
