- The Hateful Eight - Rant #8Hello Rantaineers! Happy Holidays, or (for those who celebrate Christmas) Merry Christmas. We've got one! Finally! A Quentin Tarantino film! The well spoken Jesse James McGhee, one of Breandan's crazy cool brothers, graces The Reel Rant Podcast with his presence this week with his pick The Hateful Eight. - Star Wars: A New Hope - Rant #7Hello Rantaineers! This week, to fit in with the crazy Star Wars going on all over the world, we thought we should have our first episode on one of those good old fashion films! This week we are doing Star Wars: A New Hope, with our Special guest we call Grandpa, but his real name is Graeme. He is an old man, stuck in an old man body. Exciting! Now we have said it on here before, but this week we really get into it. So much so we skip the "News" segment of the show, and the "How you doing dude?" segment. It's all good! It's worth it! Trust us. This episode (aside from looking at the film of the week) we take a philosophical look at our fandom surrounding Star Wars, and really consider it. Like a lot. - The Green Mile - Rant #6Hello Rantaineers! We are back this week with a feely feels episode with our friend, the legendary sexy Brooklyn boi, Colin. He likes to make coffee in his spare time with the shows Host Ranter, Breandan. Thats all he likes to do. He has no hobbies. He just values, above all else, his relationship with Breandan, and makin those sweet, sweet, cups of joe with his boi! This week, Colin has chosen The Green Mile. Great film with lots of feels, as previously stated, but it's warranted to say this again. We get really into metaphors this episode in relation to this weeks flick! We also get a bit into are thoughts on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and how all thats going. We discuss the upcoming film Bohemian Rhapsody, and stuff going down with the making of it. We bring up Quentin Tarantino again...He's making a new Star Trek film...As far as we have come to understand. Finally, we talk a little bit about the other upcoming film You Were Never Really Here, starring...Joaquin Phoenix. He was in The Master...Just in case you forgot. Breandan really likes this film. - Redline (2009) - Rant #4On this weeks episode we are graced with the wonderful presences of Emily! A great friend of the show! Now we know we were supposed to do My Neighbour Totoro on our next episode, but unfortunately due to some scheduling conflicts (and other stuff we will get to) we couldn't make that happen. So in a way you could say we talk about how the "Reel stuff" relates to the "Real stuff"...You get it? We also talk about Breandan's guilty pleasure film The Master...again.
