  • Talkin' Commerical Work with Justin Berti
Divorce Bait Star, Justin Berti, Talks Being in a Billie Eilish Music Video and Voicing Mario Karted. In this episode of "Talent Talk", we sit down with Justin Berti who stars as Marco Laguna on "Divorce Bait". He regale's us with stories of seeing himself on the Grammy's as Billie Eilish is being nominated for an award as well as working on commercials, working in Japan and voicing characters on the Mario Kart video game.

★☆★ If you enjoyed this video and want to support us please leave a LIKE, write a comment on this video, and Share it with your friends. Subscribe to Talent Talk on YouTube and click the 🔔 icon for notifications when we release new episodes.

Justin Berti is meant to entertain and inspire. Well traveled, he was born in Connecticut, spent time in Texas and New York City, with his last major stint of 12 years being in Tokyo, Japan. Creating a name for himself, Justin was acting, dancing, and modeling in almost all major entertainment genres you can think of in the Land of the Rising Sun. He even played semi-pro baseball and was a Major League Baseball announcer for all preseason and regular season games featured in Japan. He also had a guest star role in Ramen Girl starring Brittany Murphy. Leaving Japan and moving to L.A. in 2015, he has been on stage, TV, and film making the most of his ambitions. The role of Elliot in the Showtime series Submission was the highlight of his first year back in the States and is what most of his fans know him from. Starring in the popular Billie Eilish's famous "Bad Guy" music video and getting to play the villain in Lifetime's Deadly Cheers and playing the vibrant Mario Bargellini in another Lifetime movie, Driven to Kill, are three memorable experiences for Justin as well. However, the lead role in his first romantic comedy, Divorce Bait, coming out the winter of 2021, will surely add to the top of his list. Tapping into his comedic skills and diving into this character, has been such a breath of fresh air given the difficult climate of 2020. Justin also starred in the independent film Frontera, which won over 9 film festival awards, 4 of them for Best Picture, since its release in 2018. As a Columbia University graduate and instructor of Yogic Arts (a powerful mix of Ashtanga, Martial Arts, and Modern dance), Justin's acting technique and "can do" attitude derive from his physical body mastery, prompting his nickname The Yoganator.

First up is his role as ‘Cisco Jenkins’ on ‘The Night Agent’ TV series which premiered on Netflix, March 23, 2023. The Night Agent follows a low-level FBI agent, Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings until the night it does, propelling him into a conspiracy that leads all the way to the Oval Office. Curtis plays ‘Cisco Jenkins’, the best friend of the lead Peter Sutherland. They were roommates at Quantico, and Cisco gets called for help when Peter is in the stickiest of situations. The Night Agent is an action-packed - drama/ thriller series that will be a sure fan favorite. Curtis joins an ensemble cast of Luciane Buchanan, Hong Chau, D.B. Woodside and Eve Harlow.

  • Talkin' Paralympic Swimming with Jamal Hill
When he was only 10 years old, Jamal Hill was taken to the hospital after the right side of his body went numb. By the time he arrived at the hospital he was almost entirely paralyzed and could only speak and move his head. He stayed in the hospital for months while paralyzed before he recovered with reduced motor function in his arms and legs. But for many years he tried to hide it even while competing in high school sports. He was a very strong competitive swimmer and also played basketball. He received a swim scholarship to Division III Hiram College in Ohio where his major was physics.
It wasn’t until he was age 23 that he finally stepped out of the proverbial “disability closet” and shared his diagnosis of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), an inherited condition that causes nerve damage in a person’s feet, legs, hand and arms, with the public. Even today, from his knees to his toes, he says it feels like he is walking on prosthetics. From his elbows to his fingertips, he has about 30% nerve capacity.
It was at that time that his swim coach convinced him to pursue a spot on the U.S. Paralympic Team. In the 2021 Tokyo Paralympics he won a bronze medal. Soon after his return to Southern California his commitment to teaching young people to swim grew to new heights through the work of the, Swim Up Hill Foundation, a non-profit he founded in 2020.
This is a story of determination and perseverance, enhanced by athleticism, and wrapped in a pleasant and optimistic personality.
