Maturity is not following the rules, or meeting expectations. It is a process and journey that will continue for our entire lives, each decision a small pivot towards the person we will become tomorrow. We must be willing to allow God to chisel away anything that hides the image of Jesus, because he is our full and complete standard.

It takes courage to live out actually knowing God, versus knowing him theoretically. You can be courageous knowing that you are not alone, you are not in charge, and the battle has already been won.
