#003. We discuss two topics in this episode that affect a lot of relationships. These are a phenomenon that I call an Internal Emotional Collapse, which is when one partner in the relationship becomes so flooded with negative emotion during difficult conversations with their partner, that they emotionally collapse inside. The other topic is what I call The Trap Test, which is a pattern of self-sabotage in relationships. Both of these have pretty strong roots in emotional neglect or trauma in childhood, and both can be effectively managed through good emotional communication skills.

#001: In this episode, you will learn about how the emotional attachment bond is the single-most important factor to a successful marriage. When relationships are in trouble, it is because something is affecting that emotional bond. We will talk about addiction and how that impacts relationships, and we will hear from one of my clients about her experience with addiction. You will also learn a simple relationship skill called the emotional check-in. This simple tool will help you and your partner become more emotionally connected with each other.
