Guitars. Music. Improv Comedy. Stonehenge. This is Spinal Tap is the perfect movie to celebrate our 100th Episode with special guest Richard Oliver from The Chasing Tone Podcast and Wampler Pedals. George and Travis are both seeing this one for the first time, and if that isn't justification for doing this show we can't imagine what is.

Will George see the value in the 1959 Les Paul that sustains for literal weeks? Or will he stick with his preferred Boomer Guitar: The Gibson SG? Will Travis feel at home in the improv despite the black leather, chains, whips, dog collars and violins? Does Richard, an Englishman himself, approve of the accents? George isn't familiar with The Fugitive, but he has seen Tommy Lee Jones portray a character similar to Deputy Marshall Gerard in the Coen Brothers' Oscar-winner No Country for Old Men. This is the first Harrison Ford appearance on The Remedial Film Class Podcast, and it probably will not be his last. George will recognize both of these actors immediately right? Right?

Will George appreciate the "scale" of the drama and action in The Fugitive, especially compared to last week's Primal Fear and Dan's criticism? Will Travis invite his favorite Marshall to join the podcast as a guest in a future episode? Will Dan's "Chicago Accent" get us cancelled?

But he couldn't possibly foresee Keanu Reeves facing Al Pacino in a blend of The Omen, The Client and Seven. And the twist at the end? And the twist after that? Heck no. Had no idea. But... did he dig it?

Was George buying into the "Wonder Woman's Mom" energy of the seductive Christabella? Did Travis think the Rick Baker demon effects were more The Thing or more Spawn? George loved the Nolan Batman trilogy before we ever considered doing a podcast. So how excited will he be when he realizes that the same director put together a similar cast (plus a Wolverine and a Gollum) to tell the tale of two professional rivals who become bitter personal enemies. Oh and there is magic and David Bowie and maybe the darkest personal quest we've seen in a Piper Perabo movie.

Will George and Travis be able to keep up with the twists and turns (and teleportation) in their first watch through this movie? Will Dan finally show the guys a movie that they both like on their first watch? Will anyone finally do something about these damn dirty apes? Tune in to find out!

And he HATES Nicholas Cage. But can we introduce him to the best action performance of Cage's career and make a believer out of him? Or is George just going to be a bit chit-chatter?

George is going in blind this week, with no context. Is he ready for a two-and-a-half hour epic of 70s sleaze and 80s debauchery? I mean, obviously he isn't. Let's see how it goes! It might take Dan giving a guick "history of adult entertainment" to bring the context George needs.

Will George open his cold heart to empathize with the down-and-out LA adult scene actors as they try to overcome the rejection of mainstream America and build new family units from the injured souls around them? Oh, c'mon. This is George we are talking about.

Let's try this again: Will George appreciate the tragedy as the LA scene chews up and spits out the actors? Will Travis love this acting tour-de-force and laud the break-out performances that made Paul Thomas Anderson a perineal Oscar contender? George really likes Hannibal Lecter. But how will he handle Hannibal Lecktor? We didn't tell him that Manhunter is based on the book Red Dragon, and so it is essentially the original and Red Dragon (which we watched last week) is a remake. Despite it saying "Based on the novel Red Dragon" in the opening titles, how long will George go before he realizes this is the same movie? He'll read the credits, right? Right!?

There's shades of (and discussions of) Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Batman, Silence of the Lambs and many more as George attempts to see where this early Michael Mann movie fits within the framework he knows from the later movies and TV show.

Will George see the value in a much more grounded approach to familiar characters like Will Graham, Hannibal and Jack Crawford? Will Travis appreciate the nuanced but subtle reading of the dialogue that leaves the tension in the details instead of big swings of theatrical pomp? Or will they both poo on the movie mercilessly? And what hidden detail did Dan notice that would tie a line from Pink Floyd all the way though Silence of the Lambs? Tune in to find out!

George is a big fan of The Silence of the Lambs. And he really enjoyed a few episodes of the TV show Hannibal. But how will he feel to revisit the first version of Hannibal he saw some 20 years ago? Travis hasn't seen it since it was in theaters, and Dan hasn't seen it since 2006 or so. Will the movie hold up or will Brett Ratner leave a rodent taste in everyone's mouth?
