While serving as the Executive/Counseling Pastor of his local church, Josh Clink suddenly became the Lead Pastor after the pastor abruptly resigned. He immediately knew he was in "over his head" due to having zero formal training in preaching and leading a congregation. In addition, he also found himself leading through the pandemic restrictions and difficulties.
All of this led to a "dark season" for Josh. Today's podcast is an encouraging conversation as Josh shares how Jesus brought him and his wife, Stephanie, out of these tough times with the support of some trusted friends. He also gives us some insight into the counseling ministry that he serves with, Anchored Hope. They offer convenient and confidential virtual counseling with theologically educated and professionally trained counselors. Anchored Hope has biblically grounded, clinically informed virtual counseling available for ministry leaders no matter where they live.

It was our absolute pleasure to have Karl and Shelley Vaters join us for this podcast, which focuses on ministry marriage. Shelley shares that she never gave much thought to marrying a pastor. She also shares some eye-opening experiences that have accompanied her serving alongside Karl for all these years.
Karl and Shelley pull back the curtain and allow us to see some of the difficulties they've worked through together over their ministry journey. It would be great to listen to this special podcast with your spouse. It may even be possible that you'll hear a lot of your story in theirs.

John Fuller has been in ministry for over three decades. Not growing up in the church, John accepted Jesus as a rough and raw college student. Becoming a Christian led John to do a complete 180 in his life, ultimately resulting in him serving as a youth pastor and eventually the lead pastor of a small church.
Today's conversation is filled with the wealth and wisdom that comes from understanding the importance of viewing ministry leadership through two different avenues: the Window and the Mirror. You'll be encouraged and challenged as you hear the things the Lord has taught John from the beginning of his ministry up to recently stepping down as lead pastor of his church after a successful transition.

Tom & Suzi Steele were on a much needed vacation in Virginia Beach trying to recover from a difficult season of pandemic related ministry. They received an unexpected phone call that shook them to the core. A severe thunderstorm produced a strike of lightning that hit their church steeple. The result was a fire that burned the church to the ground. So much for a relaxing vacation.
Today's 95Podcast features a conversation with Tom & Suzi discussing the impact of the catastrophic effects of the fire. They also update us on how the church is doing today as well as how they processed these events.

One of the most important leadership principles that needs to be learned by all of us is that Jesus isn't in a hurry! He has a plan. He is working His plan. And He wants us to participate in it. However, many of us put unnecessary pressure on our lives to try to do ministry "for" Him instead of "from" Him. Although it's taken some time, Michael Schooley is a pastor who knows first-hand the fulfillment of Jesus working through him.
Michael joins Dale on today's 95Podcast to discuss the journey from being a committed youth pastor to eventually becoming a church planter. Their conversation is so refreshing as they honestly tackle some of the issues facing a pastor in today's culture.

The need for impactful ministry to men is crucial in today's culture. However, many churches seem to have put this ministry focus on the back burner. Wendell Morton of Men's Ministry Catalyst joins Dale on today's 95Podcast to discuss the ever-increasing need for consistent and strategic ministry to the men in your community.
They both transparently share the impact of growing up with fathers who were in the home but still emotionally disconnected from their sons. This conversation brings to light how even more impactful it is for young men to grow up without a father in the home.
