  • Draw Near to God: Revelation, Repentance & Renewal | Closer To God Part 9

In Closer to God, Part 9, Pastor Mike teaches that drawing closer to God is an intentional pursuit, not a passive experience. Through James 4:8 and Acts 2, he explains that God has already invited us into relationship, but we must choose to pursue Him with humility, repentance, and a genuine desire to know Him.

Drawing near to God requires more than attending church—it requires allowing Him to transform our thinking. Repentance is not simply feeling sorry for sin; it is allowing the Holy Spirit to reprogram our minds so we become more familiar with the Kingdom than with the world’s way of thinking. As we pursue God, He replaces our old identity, history, and limitations with the truth of who we are in Christ.

Pastor Mike also reminds us that many of the things holding us back have power only because we continue to believe them. Freedom begins when we stop believing the lies of fear, shame, lack, and defeat, and instead believe God’s Word above every circumstance. As Kingdom citizens, we are called to live from our heavenly identity rather than our earthly past

Discover how pursuing God transforms your thinking, strengthens your faith, and teaches you to live from your true Kingdom identity. Listen to Closer to God, Part 9.

  • How to Know If You’re Really Close to God | Closer To God Part 7

Are you truly close to God, or have other voices become louder than His? In this message, Pastor Mike Darnell teaches how revelation, obedience, covenant, and commitment reveal the true condition of our relationship with God.

In Closer to God, Part Seven, we look at the early church in Acts 2 and how one revelation — that Jesus is both Lord and Christ — moved people into repentance, baptism, fellowship, prayer, teaching, and commitment to the assembly.

This message challenges us to ask defining questions: What is the loudest voice in my life? Who has the most moving voice in my life? Who triggers action from me? If God is truly Lord, His Word should not simply inform us; it should move us.

Pastor Mike also teaches the difference between being far from God and being brought near through covenant. Through the blood of Jesus, those who were once far have been brought near, reconciled into one body, and called to live as citizens of the Kingdom.

  • You Have to Know God for What’s Coming | Closer To God Part 6 | Mike Darnell

In Closer to God Part 6, Pastor Mike Darnell teaches that getting closer to God is no longer optional for believers who want to stand strong in the days ahead. As the world changes rapidly and systems become more advanced, God’s people must learn how to function from another realm. The goal is not just survival — it is strength, victory, and Kingdom influence in the middle of adversity.

Pastor Mike explains that the people who know their God will be strong and carry out great exploits. Kingdom churches and Kingdom people are built to thrive when pressure comes, but weak churches and natural-minded believers will struggle when adversity exposes what they truly believe. To be prepared, believers must receive the Word of the Kingdom until it becomes understanding, conception, and visible fruit in the earth.

This message also reveals how the enemy works to stop the Word from producing fruit through lack of understanding, unbelief, carnality, and the cares of this world. Natural wisdom cannot remain in control. The flesh and the Spirit do not rule together; they must be put in order. When the Spirit governs the flesh, the spiritual mind produces life and peace.

If you want strength for the last days, you must know God intimately, receive His Word deeply, and allow His Kingdom to bear fruit through your life.

  • The Reprogram Podcast Houston | Why People Reject the Kingdom Message | Mike Darnel

.What happens when people hear the Kingdom message… but never let it fully reprogram them?

In this powerful Houston Pop-Up teaching, Pastor Mike shares how hearing Dr. Myles Munroe first awakened him to the message of the Kingdom — and why so many believers get excited about Kingdom teaching, but eventually drift back to what feels familiar.

This message breaks down why the Kingdom of God is rarely taught clearly in today’s church, why people resist it, and how old religious, cultural, and historical programming can pull people back into the same systems God is trying to free them from.

Pastor Mike also unpacks the idea of Kingdom Technology — the reality that humanity was designed by God with a higher potential than what natural systems, industries, or even modern technology can offer.

If you have ever felt like there is more to God than what you’ve been taught, this teaching will challenge the way you think, believe, and live.

Watch now and discover why the Kingdom message is not just another sermon — it is the reprogramming of your entire life.

  • Why You’re Not Bearing the Fruit You Should | Closer to God Part 5 | Mike Darnell

In Closer to God Part 5, Pastor Mike Darnell continued teaching that closeness to God is not superficial. It is not just being around church, using spiritual language, or being associated with the Kingdom. True closeness happens when we abide in Christ and receive the King’s ideas, mission, agenda, values, lifestyle, and Kingdom culture as our own.

Jesus said in John 15 that He is the vine and we are the branches. That means fruitfulness comes from connection. We cannot produce Kingdom fruit through our own systems, independent ideologies, or earthly ways of thinking. Many people live among the Kingdom but are not truly connected to it or receiving from it. They may be present, but if His words are not governing them, they are not living from His culture.

God is after transformed minds. Closeness means becoming more familiar and more native to heavenly things than earthly things. It means Kingdom culture begins to replace our old identities, labels, methods, and ways of thinking until we not only live in the Kingdom, but live from it. As His word abides in us, His desires shape our desires, and our lives begin to bear the fruit of His government in the earth.

Fruit is the evidence of connection. Fruitlessness reveals disconnection or a disruption in the connection. The more we receive His word, embrace His ways, and remain rooted in His culture, the more we become true representatives of the Kingdom — people who do not just claim closeness to God, but produce the evidence of His life flowing through them.

Abide in Him, develop the right heart posture, and continue growing closer to God. • The Danger of Mixing Christianity With Other Beliefs | Closer to God Part 4

In Closer to God Part 4, Pastor Mike Darnell teaches that every believer must begin with the foundational revelation that Jesus is both Lord and Christ. Without this revelation, a person can acknowledge Jesus and still miss the Kingdom of God and the life He designed them to live.

When the people in Acts heard this truth, they were cut to the heart. Revelation produced repentance, baptism, commitment, and a new way of life. God does not give every detail before He asks for commitment. He gives revelation, and revelation requires a response.

Understand this: nothing will keep you close to God like revelation. Programs cannot replace it. Preference cannot sustain it. When you truly see the Kingdom, you stop treating church like something that must meet every demand and begin to see it as the place where God adds you, trains you, and uses you for His mission.

The danger comes when that revelation gets crowded by other voices. When a person begins wavering between two opinions, trying to hold on to God while also holding on to systems, beliefs, and practices that do not belong to Him, spiritual clarity begins to fade. What starts as spiritual mixture can slowly become spiritual dullness, spiritual blindness, and spiritual deafness.

In this message, Pastor Mike gives a clear warning against syncretism — mixing Christianity with other beliefs, spiritual paths, symbols, or practices. Jesus is not one option among many. The Kingdom does not need help from astrology, ancestor worship, New Age practices, crystals, idols, or any other spiritual substitute.

God is not asking to be added to your mixture. He is calling you out of mixture.

So stay sober-minded. Stay close. Stay clear.
Listen to Closer to God Part 4 now, and let God sharpen your discernment, remove spiritual mixture, and anchor you in the revelation of Jesus as Lord and Christ.

  • The Secret to Being Close to God | Closer to God Part 3

In Part 3 of Closer to God, Pastor Mike Darnell taught that nothing external can sustain a believer’s relationship with God. Miracles, blessings, answered prayers, difficult seasons, and even religious routines may influence us for a time, but they cannot produce lasting closeness. What keeps a person anchored in the Kingdom is revelation—a growing understanding of who God is, how His Kingdom operates, and who they are in Him. Without revelation, people drift. With revelation, they grow closer to God and become effective in Kingdom living. Throughout Scripture, people witnessed extraordinary demonstrations of God’s power yet still drifted away. The issue was never a lack of miracles; it was a lack of repentance. True repentance is more than feeling sorry or changing behavior for a moment. It is a change of mind that causes us to turn from natural thinking and embrace God’s way of seeing and living. When revelation is absent, even the greatest blessing can become ordinary, and what once inspired gratitude can slowly be taken for granted. Closeness to God is not measured by how many Christian activities we participate in, but by how deeply we are being transformed by revelation. As believers grow in understanding God’s Kingdom, His ways become more familiar than the world’s ways. What once seemed normal begins to feel foreign, while Kingdom living becomes increasingly natural. This transformation does not happen through religious routine—it happens through continually receiving, stewarding, and responding to revelation. Drifting from God is dangerous. Spiritual dullness does not happen all at once; it happens when revelation is neglected and other voices begin to take its place. Over time, hearts become less sensitive, ears become less attentive, and believers lose sight of what God has shown them. The solution is not simply trying harder or taking a break. The solution is returning to revelation—allowing God to renew our minds and deepen our understanding of His truth. Ultimately, Kingdom life begins by the Spirit and must continue by the Spirit. Salvation, peace, joy, strength, righteousness, and effectiveness in the Kingdom all flow from revelation and dependence on God rather than reliance on human wisdom or earthly systems. The closer we grow to God, the more we discover that revelation is not a one-time event—it is the ongoing fuel that keeps us walking faithfully with Him.
